The minute you step into the building you will be hit with the undeniable smell of fresh goods. There are a few cute stores and food options but this bakery is a must. The service is unmatched for, with genuine enthusiasm, knowledge and experience. The Nata pastries are a must ( I was so lucky to catch the last one in a batch and I would have got a dozen more:))), the chocolate, nuts babbka is amazing and on Fridays and Saturdays they bake real Halla bread. Don’t get intimidated by the line, it is there for a good reason – they pay personal attention to each costumer and the baked goods are completely worth it!

Stopped in for a late-afternoon coffee and pastry after a long flight and reservation at the Source hotel. Had a piece of Santiago’s almond flour cake and a nata pastry. I had the opportunity to visit Lisbon Portugal last year and the flavors were on point with the original. Recommended.

Wow. Came here in the afternoon and had an amazing experience. Ordered a chocolate croissant (which was probably one of the best croissants I’ve had in a while) and a cappuccino. While waiting for our coffee, got to watch Nutella walnut babka being made (see video!) and the owner chatted us up, had us try free samples of the golfeado (Venezuelan sticky bun) which was incredible. 10/10 experience. I wish I lived here. I’d come here all the time if I did!

Pastel de nata tastes just like the ones I had in Portugal and Spain. Perfectly crispy pastry and custard that isn’t too sweet. Sourdough multi grain bread had a bouncy interior and crunchy exterior. Making it a perfect vessel for warm butter or olive oil and topped with Spanish salt.

Picked up some pastries, coffee, and a loaf of sourdough hot out of the oven. Everything was incredible. The croissants had amazing layers and the sourdough loaf is one of the best loafs I’ve had. I will be coming back

I could of gotten better pics but my hands were already sticky. Loved the churro croissant. You can’t tell from my pic but there is some delicious dulce de leches in there too. I’m craving it again just writing this!

Congrats to Ismael the owner who got nominated best pastry chef / baker in 2023 James beard award. This is a national recognition and only 20 pastry chefs get nominated each year.

Lived in Europe for 10 years and have missed the bakeries ever since. This place has the best croissants I’ve had in the US. Flakes go everywhere. Highly recommend a visit!

Visiting from Austin, TX and this was my first stop off the plane. I always make sure I stop here! Their pasteis de nata are second to none. I will be back to stock up before flying home!
