This place kicks ass! Like the service was incredible Tyler was our waiter and he was super nice and told us what was good and not! The spring roll cheese sticks amazing. The chorizo chicken quesadilla was amazing. The flavor of the chorizo was so good! And berry cheesecake was so good to finish the meal off! Also the raspberry beret drink was great and taste like a pink trix yogurt. The prices were cost effective and the music was perfect and the posters all over the bar were so cool! I like this place a lot!

Food and plating is excellent! I’ve been here twice and I came back not only for the good food, but the presentation was on point! The limoncello mule with the roasted marshmallows is a must! I’m excited to try the Bay City location.

Since we arrived during dinner rush, all tables were taken. Our group of 6 opted for immediate seating at the bar. Liked the retro rock videos and atmosphere but might be a bit loud and rukus for some. The staff were friendly and did their best to take our drink orders straight away. They were being kept very busy with a private party taking over half the restaurant .The Retro Rock crafted cocktails proved to be what we needed. I started with “Dr. Feelgood”. Light and fruity, it paired well with the three piece fish dinner. Perfectly cooked fish was crispy and delicious. The fries were equally crispy and perfectly seasoned. Everyone in our group enjoyed everything they tried. Highly recommend Retro Rocks for great food or drinks.

Love the updates. Feels more modern. Had a work party there. They were very accommodating and friendly. Food was good along with good portions. Needed a box to take the the remainder home. Everything was neat and tidy.

A little deceiving from the outside but once you walk through the door it opens up into a really nice place, it’s very modern looking in my opinion even though the name retro speaks otherwise. Good drinks, the food looked amazing (we didn’t eat) and the place filled up pretty quickly by 6 pm

Strange experience. My group’s food came out at all different times. Another gal in my group ordered the same dip as me, the red pepper goat cheese dip. Except mine came out first and her’s came out last, when everyone was finishing their meals. Her dip looked and tasted completely different than mine. Mine had no goat cheese flavor and was gritty, but her’s was creamy and had noticeable goat cheese flavor. I usually never speak up but $14 for a dip that seemed to be the wrong thing I ordered is a total bummer. Everyone in the group agreed they most likely accidentally gave me the hummus instead. So I asked our server, Charles, if they may have accidentally gave me the hummus. He barely looked at them and said, “nope, your’s is the goat cheese too.” I said, “oh, well just the texture and taste is a lot different than her’s?” Hoping he may take another look. He continued to say they’re the same, just came out of different containers? I did not eat the dip, just snacked on the bread that came with it, which was delicious. But not worth $14. I did enjoy the firecracker shrimp, great flavor. Wish the issue had a better resolve. All of our dips came out cold as well? Maybe it was our fault for assuming these would be warm. This place is awesome. The name is fitting, as there are plenty of throwback memorabilia, particularly ’80s. Our server Donna was so friendly, and made great suggestions for drinks. The menu items are quite expensive but very much worth it! My wife ordered the Cuban pork with asparagus, yellow rice, and fried plantains. I had the Jamaican jerk steak with rice and pine nuts. Both were fantastic! These were the kind of dishes that were made with love and care. And their drinks were amazing too. My wife got a mango Moscow mule, and I had an old-fashioned made with Woodford Reserve. Like I said, very expensive but for an anniversary dinner, I thought it was worth it. Perhaps a place to revisit on a future anniversary.

From start to finish our time at Retro Rocks was great. Our server Brie was nothing short of amazing. There were 8 of us for dinner the appetizers and entrees were delicious. Our drinks were never left empty , we will be back !
