I’ve eaten at just about every restaurant in downtown San Jose so I was surprised I missed this somehow. It’s a gorgeous property with a stunning bar. Service was great although my OpenTable resy was ignored. Drinks were immaculate! The food was pretty good but nothing mind blowing. There was some confusion on if I was ordering tacos when I asked for the barbacoa so I switched to the picanha. No complaints. Recommended!

Perfect 5 star place. We went for all three of our breakfasts. Well trained, bilingual staff. Highly trained and supervised for excellent customer satisfaction. Food was well prepared to order, and wait staff were fun, prompt and engaging. Overall very happy with this restaurant and would recommend without hesitation.

But the best part is the food- we were recommended to try the quesadillas barbacoa and it is delicious on so many levels! Meat tender, broth robust, limes and habanero salsa, top notch. We ate here for breakfast several times during our stay and everything we tried was yummy – machaca, chilaquiles. All tasty!

I had a truly pleasant stay at this hotel and was very impressed by the overall experience. The staff were exceptionally kind, friendly, and attentive at all times, which made me feel comfortable and well cared for throughout my stay. Their professionalism and genuine warmth really stood out.

The recent renovations have been done to a very high standard, giving the property a fresh, modern, and elegant feel while still remaining comfortable and inviting. The common areas and rooms are well maintained, and the overall atmosphere is calm and welcoming.
From check-in to departure, everything was smooth and enjoyable. This hotel creates a positive and relaxing environment, and I would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for both comfort and excellent service. I would be very happy to stay here again in the future.

Great experience! Great attention, service, and hospitality. We got complimentary drinks and dessert for my friends birthday. And the food was 11 out of 10! Soooo good! I would definitely come back again!

Hubby & I ordered a couple of beers and decided to share the beef quesadilla. It was AMAZING!!!
Toasted flour, quesadilla, with shredded beef that had been marinated in flavorful spices, creating a wonderful juice. And filled with beans and Gouda cheese.
The chef made jalapeño garlic onion purée/sauce as a condiment was to die for!
Quesadilla was Cut into four triangular sections, which was easy to share.
Our waiter, Christian was informative. Had a great personality, and spoke very good English. .. not to mention the atmosphere on the street is elegant and upscale.
If I could give it 10 star stars, I would. Want to come back and check out their dinner menu.

Just happened to walk by while we were shopping and decided to stop for lunch. Best decision ever! Drinks were so good and I had the best quesadilla in my life! Service was also amazing. Definitely recommend

Excellent, 5+5+5 stars! We enjoyed three days of high quality service and laughter and care. Everyone on the staff was well trained but more importantly, genuinely interested in our comfort and experience. Food was perfectly done and expertly presented. Tropicana is a lovely place to have a coffee in the morning. Arnulfo offered excellent service and out breakfast was delicious. A very pleasant atmosphere with delicious food. I will be returning!
