Reviews
We were highly recommended by our Gate1Travel tour guide. Best suggestion.
Location a street behind Windsor Leme hotel and also not far from Hilton hotel as well. – walkable
It is a small, quaint restaurant with not very many tables and very busy! People line up to get in. The service is very professional for a place like this even though in the beginning when being seated, it may not appear.
Food presentation and garnishing is great and our food main items were presented and waited for approval before going to be cooked. Meals are large so don’t be afraid to share the meal.
When it arrived at our table, the waiter were well versed in delivery and presentation. Quality checks were not done but wasn’t necessary.
What was ordered?
Salmon with rice- absolutely the best we have had.
Fried Octopus for appetizer which was also very good.
Seafood Paella which was also very delicious with lots of shrimps and one large shrimp.
Would we come back- Absolutely, and lots of our friends came there as well and had the same experience
Meal came with a bread basket and some lovely chilli oil.
Staff were great and service was good too.
My wife and I shared a whole fish, cooked fresh, and wonderful tasting. We also shared an entrees of octopus that was beautifully tender.
It’s a small restaurant cosy restaurant.
Food was somewhat salty for us. Octopus was not good. Lobster was overcooked in our opinion. Steak was good and large portions.
Wine: red wine did not serve cold.
Service: exceptional by an older gentleman. Very professional and he worked with a passion. We gave him extra tips afterwards. Service charge was added to the bill.
Total bill for lunch: about $170ish for 4 of us. We had a lot of left over to bring back to our hotel. Price was reasonable for food quality.
The salmon in honey sauce was excellent and the rice was also quite interesting. The rest of the food (potatoes, sole fish, and vegetables) was fairly standard and unimpressive.
Given the billing and the presentation of the wait staff (who did an excellent job, by the way!), I was expecting the food to be more outstanding than it was. The pricing is fair and the fact that the restaurant is a Leme local spot is nice though.
I’ll be back!
