Beautiful restaurant about 30 minutes outside of Oaxaca City. Large, bright and beautifully decorated. We were a large group and I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly our orders were taken and the food served. The servers were lovely. I began with the summer rolls with chicken and shrimp served with a tasty sesame dipping sauce. For my main I chose Gong-Pao with shrimp and pork. The ingredients were fresh and perfectly seasoned. I was surprised to find such delicious South East Asian food being in Oaxaca, only a short drive downtown. This eatery was a delight.

Being a surprising Asian option in the heart of oaxaca, I went in wondering how this fusion style food would taste like.
The food is very tasty, the pad Thai was just right on the spiciness, and the fried rice with shrimp was equally good.
My only complaint was the fried ice cream being rock solid in the middle, making it hard to eat it, and the coffee in the tiramisu was very strong, it overpowered the rest of the cake.
Other than that we had excellent service, the atmosphere and design of the restaurant was well put together, and my party all had a great time dining here.
I would absolutely come back here on my next trip back to this city in the future.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant in a verdant area. We chose a table in the back, outside, with wonderful views of the surrounding fields and hills. There’s an impressive carp pond by the bathrooms and outside sinks to wash one’s hands. The waitress thoughtfully brought an anti-fly candle to our table and it really helped discourage the unwanted flying visitors.
The various dishes we ordered were served promptly, and we all enjoyed the freshly prepared spring rolls, fried wontons, sopa de tamarindo (a new taste and a bit sweet for me), ensalada de mango (highly recommended), pad thai and chow mein. With the views, the coolness of the fresh air, the beautiful architecture and design, and the quality of the food, this was one of the most enjoyable meals we have had in quite a long time. Are the flavors authentic? We weren’t really bothered by that question. Oaxaqueño friends brought us; without a car of one’s own, access from the city is challenging. If you’re going to CASA at Vista Hermosa, Mia Arroz is on the way.

Amazing. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Such a great find. Food is fresh and comes out fast. Service is impeccable. Coffee was delicious. I was craving SE Asian food and they nailed it.
On top of this the building is gorgeous and well designed. The pond is fed by the rain which is artfully collected and dripped in without getting anyone wet.
Oh and there was lovely live music too.
Can’t wait to return again and again!

This is such a beautiful gem in San Sebastián Etla! A mix of Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai cuisine with a burst of flavour. They can make all the dishes vegan. They also have a great selection of teas. The owner James is from Toronto and is so lovely and speaks English. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Wow absolutely gorgeous place. Beautiful building and friendly staff. Delicious food that is fresh and flavorful. Authentic spices are used to recreate the rich flavors of Asian cuisine. Definitely worth the drive from Oaxaca. Highly recommend.
