We’re vegetarian and we ordered the veg tacos, veggie burrito, and tres leches. All were delicious! I really enjoyed my veg tacos. Packed with different veggies and the sauce was delicious. The tres leches was great, I’d get it again.

This place is amazing!! We had quite a large group and they were so kind and accommodating. We tried lots of dishes and each of them were SO delicious. Our personal favorites for appetizers were the shrimp dish and the corn dip. For entrees we loved the salmon and stuffed chicken. You honestly can’t go wrong with anything though, it’s all delicious.

I googled restaurants in Palm desert and this place came up. Rated 4.9 out of 5, so I checked the menu online and it looked interesting.

So glad we decided to try it. I ordered the chicken milanesa torta, and my Wife ordered the Teriyaki burger. The chicken milanesa torta was excellent, jalapeño aioli and lettuce, tomato, onion and avocado on a fresh and lightly toasted, fresh torta. Accompanied by some of the most flavorful fries that I have ever eaten.

The burger tasted more like a steak than ground beef. Finely ground and prepared on an open grill, giving it that char broiled flavor. Grilled onions and pineapple, lettuce on a fresh, toasted bun.

We ordered chips and salsa, with a side of refried beans. The chips, house made, were incredible! The roasted tomato salsa sublime, not too hot or spicy. The refried beans were creamy and fresh.

The restaurant itself doesn’t appear that different from any strip mall restaurant, but the food, the presentation, the service make the trip to Restaurante Los Primos worth the trip!

The wife wanted tacos for dinner. I brought her here for dinner. At first she was disappointed because they didn’t have the usual assortment of tacos, carne asada, lengua, buche, etc. She ordered the 3 Mahi Mahi tacos and she was very pleased. The fish was grilled, not fried. The corn tortilla chips were not greasy and the accompanying salsa has a very good flavor. I had the American burger with fries. I am always curious on how a Mexican restaurant would serve a nontraditional menu item. They did a great job on the burger. Be sure to get the patty cooked to medium or else it can end up on the dry side. The server was very helpful, friendly and polite. We will be back. We will have to try their ribeye steak tacos for dinner next time. They also serve breakfast and lunch. You should definitely give them a try.

If you’re thinking, like I did, that this is a Mexican restaurant, you’d be wrong. It’s really a diner with a strong Mexican influence. If you’re looking for the traditional Mexican restaurant experience, don’t come here.

That said, the food is pretty good. We tried the chips, salsa, and guacamole (not complimentary here—$10) and the blackened fish tacos. The chips are house-made and served warm. The guacamole was fine but not exceptional. The salsa, however, was disappointing. It had an unappealing brown color and bland flavor. I understand they’re going for a roasted pepper salsa, but the burnt skins should be removed before blending—it makes a noticeable difference.

The fish tacos were actually quite good, featuring a tasty house-made aioli and fresh slaw. At three tacos for $19, they’re not cheap, but the quality is there.

It’s a table-service restaurant with a couple of outdoor tables. The atmosphere is very much strip-mall casual, so if you’re looking for ambiance, it isn’t here. The other dishes coming out of the kitchen looked promising, though I can’t vouch for them personally.

If you’re looking for a solid breakfast or Mexican-influenced diner food, this might be the place. Adjust your expectations accordingly.

Can’t recommend enough. In town for a weekend work meeting at the nearby Grand Hyatt and ventured off site to find some great food. Had to go back for another round of quesabirria and then got the green chilaquiles as well. Sure wish we had this place in Chicago!!

A hidden gem! We arrived in Palm Springs from the east coast and looked for a place to eat dinner around 3pm. We found this restaurant online and saw its 5 star rating so decided we had to check it out. While it had a modest appearance in a strip mall, the food and service were absolutely amazing. They let us order off either the lunch or dinner menu. The food was seasoned to perfection and had generous – not huge- portions. Would make this a must-go on every trip here.

They are EXTREMELY accommodating! We came here with my brother and sister in law as a they live in the valley and are regulars here. I asked about how they prepared their shrimp tacos and the man helping us said since it wasn’t rush hour yet they could deep fry them for me. They sold me right there. When the food came out it was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved what they ordered. We will be coming here everytime we visit the valley from now on.
