My mother-in-law took me here for my very first Guatemalan restaurant experience, and I was SO impressed! I’ve always wanted to try more Guatemalan food since my husband is half Guatemalan but we just never got around to it lol.
We finally went last week and wow, everything was delicious! My absolute favorite was the Tostadas Chapinas… so flavorful and satisfying. I also tried the Pepián de Gallina, which was just as amazing.
I’m already looking forward to going back and trying more dishes. If you’ve been wanting to try Guatemalan food, this is your sign, I highly recommend checking them out! ✨

The food was delicious and the servings are plenty. The chicken adobado was a bit salty but the flavor was amazing. The cabbage salad and the macaroni salad were also delicious. I loved the black beans and tortillas de mano. My son said you can taste the lard in the beans ♀️The decor is beautiful and it’s very clean inside. I had a little bite of the fried fish and it was good, I just don’t like talapia. The coffee was so good too, it must’ve been cafe de olla cuz it was mildly sweet. I’m excited to go back and try something different. The service was good!

It’s clean and pretty place. The people running the restaurant are kind and professional. They make their own tortillas and the chicken taste great! They been in restaurant for a year and ill definitely be coming back.

The decor was very authentic and reminded me a lot of places like Lake Atitlan and the surrounding villages. The quetzals being everywhere was cute.
I ordered caldo de res, water and Atol. I had a pupusa ordered but it never came but I wasn’t charged for it.
Although the price seems steep , it seems like they don’t ask for tip here which actually is a plus. Their caldo de res with their secret hot sauce was very good and I felt they were generous with the amount of meat they gave me. The Atol was good but it wasn’t hot, like it’s supposed to be.
Overall, this place was great – and might be the best Guatemalan restaurant I’ve been to. I’ll give it a 4 for now but I feel I’ll be back sooner than later, and if they do better and not forget parts of my order, I’d give it a 5. I also did not like that they had no Diet Coke or any type of drinks that were sugar free. What will a diabetic drink here? Just water I suppose.
