Lamb, lamb and lamb. If you like lamb, come to this place. You can pick which part of the lamb. And it was so yummy. Melt in your mouth. Cash only .

Great lamb barbacoa tacos! The meat is tender and juicy, tortillas are fresh and soft. You can also mix different cuts if you’re getting 1kg of meat to share.
Come hungry and don’t miss the barbacoa consomme as appetizer.
We also tried the chorizo platter with goat cheese and chicharrón which was good as well. Their fruit juices are also refreshing. We tried guava, orange, and watermelon.
The only minus is that they are cash only but if you know beforehand this should not be a problem.
They are also only open on 3 days of the week but it’s worth planning ahead to visit La Oveja Negra.

Super fun and energetic environment. Great mariachi. The food was excellent, particularly the fresh blue tortillas. The building was very interesting, including an amazing arched brick ceiling.

Came here for a quick stop to try the Barbacoa and Carnitas tacos.

The place was fairly nice and clean. We were seated right away and shown the menu.

Ordered the Barbacoa taco and it was really good. Very generous with the barbacoa.

The carnitas taco was ok, seemed like the carnitas were a little overcooked.

Price was great!

I was very disappointed after waiting in line for over an hour thinking I was going to have the best barbacoa. Unfortunately, that is not what I got. First of they skipped me I was waiting to be called and they told me they called my name but they did not so I had to wait again because they skipped me. After waiting there to be called for more than an hour I go in and get seated. I proceed with ordering my food. I got my two tacos and as soon as I open my taco there was a hair there. I know it wasn’t mine because it was a short black hair and my hair is super long plus it was on the inside. I automatically almost threw up. I did eat the other taco and consome only because I was so hungry but I would never go there again. Service was mediocre and the consome was not good either it had no seasoning it was very bland. The prices are elevated for the small portions compared to a lot of other places. Save your time and money is not worth it.

Great food at reasonable prices. My two kids ate well. It was delicious. It was very flavorable. You don’t need the appetizer haha. It’s a lot of food.

Surprise restaurant in the city. The escamoles and pancita were amazing. No credit cards accepted. We ordered more than we could eat for 1200 pesos. Great food and service.

This restaurant was one of our favorites in the Santa Maria La Ribera neighborhood! The queso fundido simple is unmatched and the tacos de carnitas are absolutely delicious! The service is warm, welcoming, professional and wonderful. We will be back!
