Amazing lunch we had fresh lobters and a very tasty, beautifully prepared octopus appetizer dish. The server is wonderful and very attentive. Don’t miss this gem if in Varadero. Congratulations and thank you for a memorable experience ❤️

Friendly staff BUT terrible food. The Tuna steak was warm outside and ice cold in the middle. You’d expect fresh sea food from a place right on the ocean, NOPE…. I can guarantee everything from the veggies to fish was frozen. Very soggy and tough. Disappointing… At some point, you have to find a decent meal in Cuba..

The place is beautiful, but we received the worst service ever…. Actually, there was no service at all. The guys are using plain receipt paper to write a bill to pay and accepting only cash…. but on their door at the entrance there is a message that the place accepts only Mastercards or visa for the payment, so my guess is that the reason they are doing it because they are taking the cash for themselves. Paying huge money for the food and getting worse service ever …. crazy…. I hope the owner will read my review and will get back to me…. adding pictures.

Well congratulations for serving THE worst dinner of my life. I was reduced to tears. My “ vegetarian” meal started with 6 calamari rings which I thought were onion rings. After chewing on it for about 2 minutes, it became apparent that they had flash-fried baby soothers. Had to be abandoned. Oh, did I mention the thawing dinner roll?
Next up, my vegetarian lobster which arrived blacker than black because it was burnt to a crisp. That of course came with a side of regurgitated pasta that was pure slime.
The finale was some kind of shaving foam with four gummy- bear like things that were bleeding colour from being left in the foam for god-knows-how-long!
Yup, I was warned that Cuban food was substandard. THIS experience sets a new substandard. Absolutely horrible.
Congratulations for being the worst of the worst! You win!

I rarely put bad comments to restaurant as i don’t feel the need to ruin businesses but this restaurant is a total scam for tourist. It cost us 175$ CAD (for 2 appetizers and 4 sangrias) instead of 30$ as their price is presented in CUP. The waiter explained that the price was for cuban citizen and told us that if the transaction is made through Visa card, it will be the same price as for cubans. After the meal and drinks, they arrived with the bill and divided the CUP price by 24 to have it in $ CAD which we had no choice to pay at the end of the service. I’ve had paid way over 175$ for good restaurant but for this case, their intention was to make money over a group of tourists instead of doing right business. Also, they overcharged us our drinks by seperating a bill line for the liquor and one for the alcohol in order to increase the price as high as possible. The waitress was really rude and uncooperative about how their politic is misleading the tourist and how easily people can get fooled. You should avoid at all cost this restaurant.

twice we tried to eat in this restaurant twice we found out that we can’t pay with cuban pesos we can only pay with credit card but unfortunately they don’t have internet connection so we can’t pay. They do not want to accept Cuban pesos, even sweating black market, why apparently the waiters do not care that the restaurant prospers, of course, the chef of the restaurant is not there if we asked for him. I do not recommend this place at all, let it stand empty and let there be no customers, then you can learn to respect those who come to them.

This place is a scam. Run away!

Their prices appear reasonable until you get the bill and realize just how mislead you’ve been.

6 of us went out and ate, and when they brought us the bill, it was over 1000$ USD. At that point what do you do, other then stop breathing temporarily.

They kept bringing us more and more food we didn’t order or ask for. They definitely got us good.

This place left a bad stain on my trip. I won’t be coming back to Cuba.

Thought it was a nice place for dinner. Nice location over the water for sunsets. Food was good. Have to say I was surprised by the amount of lobster in the rice and pasta dishes we ordered. The rice has too much salt for me. Also ordered a grilled lobster fresh from the ocean. I’d go again.

I do not recommend. The lobster was not tasty. They didn’t even clean it up for us. In the menu, the price is indicated in pesos, but in fact the payment is only in euros at a predatory rate. I really don’t understand who this restaurant is for.
