amazing hunan food, very authentic. i was reaching that point in the spain trip that i was developing some serious chinese food cravings and this hit the spot. vibes and food on par with the more upscale chinese restaurants you’d see in new york for a fraction of the price. we ordered the bok choy, peppers and pork (very generous portions), and the egg pork and pepper stir fry (surprisingly spicy, but thoroughly enjoyable). they’re a chain, so i’ll likely be hitting up their other locations as well.

P.S. remember to call ahead or make a reservation!

Finally, a truly authentic Chinese restaurant in Málaga!
The food blew me away — great ingredients, proper Hunan flavours, fast service, cosy vibe, fair prices, and a team that actually pays attention. Totally worth a visit.

Hunan cuisine isn’t well-known in Spain, but it really should be. It’s one of China’s “Eight Great Traditions” and famous for its punchy heat from fresh chilies. ️ The smart thing CHILA does is let you choose your spice level for every dish (from mild to full fire), which is perfect for anyone who’s not used to Hunan heat.

We ordered the braised pork knuckle with fermented mustard greens, stir-fried Chinese eggplants, noodles with meat, and a cold starter of beef slices with chili, peanuts, and coriander. Everything was spot on.

I lived in China for eight years, and I went yesterday with my malagueño husband — his first time trying real Chinese food (no arroz tres delicias, no rollitos), and he loved it too.

I’m writing this long review because Málaga needs more places like this. No one paid me, no freebies — just the genuine opinion of someone who’s been craving real Chinese flavours here for ages.

One small suggestion for the owners: help first-timers by giving a few recommendations, because dish names alone don’t always explain much.

Veggie friends, take note: Hunan vegetable dishes are amazing. Even the “simple” cabbage is delicious.

They’ve only been open a week, and I honestly wish them the best. I’ll be back very soon!

I have tried all the “good” Chinese restaurants that exist in Malaga and last night I went here and Chila, hands down, not even a contest, is the best Chinese food in Malaga and the surrounding areas. A nice setting, attentive staff, self-ordering on the phone and mouthwatering food at a reasonable price. Is it the cheap Chinese food you get at the other spots in town, no, but it is so superior to the others in all categories it makes it well worth the price. This will be my go to Chinese from this day forward.

The food was very tasty and delicious and the service was fast and friendly. We enjoyed it a lot!

One thing to note is that spicy actually means spicy here. We took the mild versions and it was quite hot compared to what mild means elsewhere. If you like spicy food you will love it 🙂

I was looking for a good and authentic Chinese restaurant while traveling in Malaga, and found chi la. The food was so tasty and fresh, and We absolutely loved it!
We ordered their chef’s recommendation: beef, cauliflower, cabbage. Very tasty! One tip: if you can’t handle very spicy food, order non or little spicy.
The restaurant also has a very stylish decoration, and the service is great!
We definitely will come back again.
