Small Group dinner. Third trip.
Surprised to learn the closer you table is to the window the more you are charged for the table.

Food is (probably) legit, but the service struggles to bring it out whilst still hot.

Could be a cool place- this is my third trip here and my last to entertain guests at.

I feel incredibly lucky to have celebrated my birthday at this wonderful restaurant at the top of Monserrate mountain in Bogotá. The setting is absolutely beautiful – an elegant, historic building with stunning views over the city.

We booked in advance, but one thing to note: the reservation deposit includes a VIP cable car ticket, which wasn’t mentioned when booking. We had already bought our tickets separately and only found out a few hours before, so this was frustrating. There’s also a dress code, which fits the atmosphere.

Once up the mountain, everything else was perfect. We arrived an hour early and enjoyed cocktails – my lychee martini and my partner’s mojito were both excellent. The service was warm and attentive throughout the night.

For starters, I ordered mussels but was served mushrooms, we did not correct this. Fortunately, they were delicious. My partner had chicken hearts, cooked beautifully. For mains, he had the chef-recommended chicken fettuccine, and I had steak and lobster – absolutely outstanding.

A live pianist played throughout the evening, adding to the romantic atmosphere. Despite the initial issues with the cable car information and the incorrect starter, the staff made the night feel special.

In total, we spent around £140 for two starters, two mains, multiple cocktails and drinks – great value for such an unforgettable experience.

A romantic, memorable evening with breathtaking views, gorgeous food, and a magical cable car ride back down the mountain. I would definitely return.

Everything at the restaurant was great. The food was great the atmosphere was great. In order to skip the line to the tram, you must pay for that privilege and it is worth it. Show the ticket agent you have a reservation confirmation, it was an email for us. Then you get the skip line privilege. Because we are not spanish speakers there was a mix up and we had no privilege to skip the line, even though I walk with a cane. There was a small line going up, and a short wait. Coming back we waited for an hour to get on the tram. Bring your masks for that long wait and it is very crowded.

We traveled from the United States on the recommendation of family and friends to visit this restaurant, and the food and service from our waiter Julio were excellent! However, the host was very rude; he treated us as if we couldn’t afford to eat there, and then he grabbed my wallet and threw it on the chair.

We asked to speak to the manager, and he didn’t show us any kindness or empathy! Honestly, I wouldn’t return to this place, nor would I recommend it, because of the staff at the door.

I had an idea when I came to this restaurant a few years ago and I thought it was a great experience. I decided to go back, but had a poor experience. Now you are charged extra $80 thousand pesos just to sit by the view. They haven’t really invested in remodeling the place in years so it’s pretty old and deteriorated.
I thought the food was good, but not really. I ordered the lamb and it was like boiled and served over polenta which took all the sauce away. We also got the beef ribs and it was only one rib that was hard. The potatoes were not fully cooked and when we sent them back we got a cesar salad and they even didn’t chop the lettuce, but it had the stem. They don’t have any sodas or rum, so you are pretty much forced into ordering wine. This was a pretty expensive and not very good experience.

It is definitely one of the best places in Bogotá for tourists. For a special or casual occasion, I highly recommend the San Isidro restaurant. Elegant, with a spectacular view, the service from Cristian was excellent, the starters (mussels and hearts), the main dishes (Chateaubriand, pork chop and salmon) were delicious and not to mention the desserts. In general, a wonderful experience, accompanied by an equally beautiful view and a sanctuary worthy of Bogotá.

After spending a few hours walking around the top of the mountain and enjoying the beautiful views, we stopped for lunch at this delightful little high-end restaurant for a delicious lunch. The choices from the menu all looked excellent, and it was hard to pick. After 4 days of exploring Bogota, this was my favorite restaurant of them all. Stunning views while enjoying amazing white wine.

We had a fantastic lunch. Great service, I half remember his name Octavia because it was real service not an investment in him telling us about how great he is. He had answers to our questions about the restaurant, service, food, and more. Because it was Semana Santa they didn’t have beef so I guess I will have to return!

We had 3 appetizers, 2 entrees, the table side dessert (I do recommend), and an entree to go. Basically our entire diet that day was San Isidro.

I cannot recommend enough the three cheese mushrooms and the french onion soup. The salmon with red fruit salsa and chicken fettuccine were great. I say this knowing how typical chicken fettucine is, but in a restaurant like this they really step it up.

I don’t recommend the mediterannean salad nor the 6 type of fish fettucine.

The 80k for the view is 100% worth it. You, your family, and your partner will not forget such a unique experience any time soon.

I imagine any bad review here is bitter people who couldn’t safely afford to eat at such a luxurious restaurant.

Great staff. Food is alright. Views are amazing but only a very limited number of seats have that view (those that do are located in a “VIP” section which costs an additional US$25 / table).
