Authentic Central American cuisine. Plenty of seating, great for large parties. Portions are huge if you’re really hungry. Fresh hand made tortillas and all their juices (Aguas frescas) are made with the real stuff and not powders or mixes. I saw them peeling tamarind in front of me. I got the grilled Salvadoran sausage and steak plate. Comes with rice, salad, queso fresco, refried beans and fresh tortillas. I washed it down with freshly made tamarind juice, which was phenomenal. And had ripe plantain empanadas. Come check it out. You will be glad you did.

Had a really bad experience here ordered 2 pupusas with cheese and chicharon, the lady brought them back with just cheese, and had a really nasty attitude about taking them back, instead she tried proving her point. So I still paid for something I did not want. My family and I will not be going back here. Plus it was super packed the waitress bumped into me like 3tines without saying excuse me. I’m really disappointed.

Always loved the pupusas here, ample filling and cooked just right to avoid drying out. Lots of seating, handicap seating right at the door for those in need. TVs generally show sports. Features live karaoke on weekends that is surprisingly popular. Waiters are attentive, but can be delayed with crowd size. Some may think decor is lacking, but I rather preferthe modest look as the appeal is the food and capacity for large groups.

Food was delicious with many dishes. Good atmosphere, music a bit loud when trying to have conversation.

I am sadly disappointed in this place. A few weeks ago I went to eat here and I found a hair in my food. I complained and did not have to pay for the meal. I came back today to order some food to go so I had a chance to take a quick pick at the kitchen and pointed out to the owner of the business that this place was better when the people in the kitchen used to wear hair nets and that to see them working in the kitchen with such carelessness today (no gloves or hair nets)it was disappointing. She pointed out that the kitchen workers refused to wear hear nets and that there is nothing she could do about it and that she wasn’t going to bother with it. I politely expressed my frustration. I ordered a breakfast to go and as I was eating it I found a piece of a toothpick (or peace of a wooden spoon) in the casamiento (rice & beans mix) as shown in the picture (case in point). This peace of wood has absolutely NO place in the casamiento for God’s sake! Having been a loyal client to this place for many years I can say it used to be the difference in the community as far as quality and service and now its just heart breaking a below average spot, poor at best. The quality of the food and service has dramatically declined to poor conditions.

It was an experience in how bad you can be served. The waitresses from the start ordering drinks was not being very friendly. Then it just went downhill from there. She would not explain the menu, we are not salvadoreños. So she left and took a long time to come back. Things just got worse, as drinks were coming in one by one, at random intervals. She never refilled the coffee or water, then the appetizer came at the end of the meal. In all the food was good and large portions, the ambience was good with music. But the service was horrible and you can tell by the looking at the other tables, the customers are looking all over for waiters to pick up the plates. The waitress did not pick up the plates until we asked for the check or a To-go box. Remember that the plates are huge and portions are very big. So you have a table that gets crowded with 2-3 plates. I don’t know if we’re at a bad time and everyone walked in after us. But for sure, other reviews mention bad service and long wait time.

Good food, good service, it reminded me of El Salvador, the first Latin restaurant that I feel at home is very nice, the next time I go to that area I will return..

Food is great, tastes home made. Best pupusas I have tasted so far. They didn’t taste like at other places where they add flour to keep pupusas from falling apart .. Service is a bit slow. It seems you just seat wherever you want. No hostess or signed posted to let you know to seat yourself.
