Dined here tonight and had an exceptional experience from start to finish.

The amuse-bouche set the tone immediately: blackened sea bass with red pepper coulis, pickled onion, and a cucumber base (9/10). Balanced, flavorful, and refreshing without being heavy.

I started with the French 506 Martini (8.5/10), which was light, refreshing, and citrus-forward—an easy, elegant opener.

The bread service deserves a moment (10/10). Fresh with a great texture: slightly firm on the outside with a rewarding softness underneath.

The soup of the day, beef French onion, was a standout (11/10). Deeply savory and comforting, with shaved prime rib that was absolutely phenomenal. Something I’d come back for on its own.

A blood orange sorbet palate cleanser followed (9/10), offering a clean, authentic blood orange flavor with that perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. Cold, firm, yet yielding in texture.

For my entrée, I had the blackened halibut with Cajun fettuccine, mushrooms, spinach, and lemon bier blanc (9.5/10). The dish was light yet flavorful. The halibut was fresh and complemented the pasta beautifully—I personally prefer halibut slightly softer, but it was still very enjoyable. The mushrooms had a firm yet tender bite, the spinach was perfectly wilted, and the bier blanc was an excellent balance of cream and savor without overpowering the dish.

My second cocktail, Living in Pearadise (10/10), was perfectly balanced. Sweet on the first sip, followed by a warm ginger spice, with a ginger garnish that truly elevated the drink.

Dessert was a layered limoncello cake, a bright and satisfying way to end the meal.

Service was outstanding (10/10). My server, Michael, was pleasant, poised, and attentive, with perfectly timed service throughout the evening. Additional staff members also checked in to ensure everything was going well, which made the experience feel genuinely thoughtful.

Ambiance was equally impressive (10/10). Romantic, gentle, and refined without feeling pretentious. I sat at a high-top table in the bar and enjoyed watching a 1946 noir film (The Locket) paired with the sounds of 1960s jazz—a truly memorable and romantic setting.

Overall score: 78/80.
Restaurant 506 confidently but humbly delivers fresh, balanced, and authentic dishes with an atmosphere that makes you want to linger. I’ll absolutely be back.

We love coming here a few times a year, but especially during the holiday season. They decorate beautifully. Brunch is fantastic any time of year, but a great treat each year for my birthday.

I finally had an opportunity to eat here today . Brunch is a good time to visit . A great selection of brunch items . I had the grilled chicken with mushrooms fettuccine. I also started off with the house salad. It was delicious with mixed greens and candied pecans. I enjoyed a mock tail which was delicious. Service is top notch. My server Ashley was very good. Atmosphere is quaint. It’s best to make a reservation to ensure you get a table . There is outside dining. Gazebos and court yard . I would definitely go again . Dessert was lemon cake with fresh fruit and cream. Amazing.

The food was absolutely stellar. Seriously amazing. Professional Chef levels that probably deserve a Michelin star, though that’s not yet achieved, it deserves it.
The staff are very friendly absolutely on top of everything.
Overall, this place is expensive but omg it’s the best food I’ve had in a very, very long time.
Recommended for a date or if you’re just staying at the Sanford House…if you can afford it. They command high prices because the food is really *that* good.
HIGHLY Recommended!

A Hidden Gem That Turned Our Night Around

We came to hear the band Don Diego on October 3, 2025, not realizing tickets were required. Disappointed but hopeful, we decided to stay for dinner—without a reservation. To our surprise and delight, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, finding a table and welcoming us with such warmth.

Our friend visiting from Kansas was blown away by the hospitality, and we couldn’t agree more. From the delicious food and drinks to the attentive service, every detail was exceptional. A special shoutout to the manager, Sarah, whose kindness truly made our evening unforgettable.

Thank you for turning our mix-up into a memory we’ll cherish. We can’t wait to visit again soon

What a wonder find!! The restaurant is in the Sanford House Inn (B&B) and is a comfortable quiet “old world” ambiance. The food and service are outstanding far exceeding our expectations. Bria is one of the best witnesses we have had in any 5 star restaurant. She is friendly, a good advisor of food choices, and has an absolutely perfect personality for the hospitality business. Attentive and engaging in both the meal conversation and discussions of personal and business discussions. She made our evening a very special time!! The food was so outstanding and now we know why, kitchen with a sous chef, and executive ,chef , and a station chef. We experienced perfectly matched preparation and presentation of any Michelin 3 star restaurant!! Chef David came out and engaged in a wonderful culinary discussion about or crab cakes, the perfectly cook panic encrusted sea bass, and the wonderful pallet pleasing pesto gnocchi. The flavor is such a wonder blend and texture of the basil, pine nuts, and cheese with the gnocchi!!! Ending with the “decaf”expresso martini left to close the restaurant down! Thanks to a great team. We know behind the scene are the amazing team members also who need to be thanked!!

Elegant atmosphere at this small restaurant in Arlington, with pretty decent food. We started with the scallops with bacon jam, and had the lamb chops and gnocchi with shrimp, all three were pretty good. We went there in other occasion for brunch, which was just OK, my omelette was somewhat dry, but overall it is a pretty good place to go to, sit down and relax the calm ambience. Good service too.

Very quaint place that’s perfect for a date night or Sunday brunch. The entire venue is full of history. We didn’t get many photos but the food was really good. If you like local bed and breakfast-type stays, this is also your place. They have a lovely spa (located across the street). That’s also the overflow parking lot.
