I’ve been here three times now and I’m thrilled. The food is amazing, and the waitress (and most likely the owner) is incredibly charming, and her stories are captivating. I highly recommend it ❤️

Were hungry after seeing the cathedral, so we went in the first restaurant we saw, and boy did we get lucky! The staff here were incredibly friendly and accommodating, they proceeded to move two tables together for us, give us lost of extra bread, tell us about all the art around the restaurant, bring the kids extra bamboo boats to play with, and explain to us everything on the menu. The food was very good too, especially after all the explanation of how each was prepared and where the ingredients were from. The view of the cathedral and the square in front of it were also a plus. Overall very very good

Small cozy restaurant with lots of stairs and old decor. The waitress was very charismatic and her wine recommendation was great.
Ordered the €35 3-course menu. Beef carpaccio was soft and tender with arugula, cheese and chimichurri sauce on top. Unfortunately, fish of the day was dry and bland. The steak was cooked medium-rare but was so chewy and difficult to swallow. Crème brûlée for dessert was nice.

stopped in for lunch after having an internal crisis trying to decide between steak and mussels. sat outside (with my dog) and we were probably one of 3 tables. the waiter/server/bar man spoke excellent english and was really helpful in going through the menu. started the meal with a fantastic local blonde beer. went for the set menu and had the beef carpaccio and steak cooked rare with chimichurri. it was fantastic. coming from ireland for the last 13 months, good steak was hard to come by so this was an incredibly welcome change the flavours on the carpaccio were outstanding. and the filet was so tender. the fries were good as well but it was so much food I didn’t finish them. it came with an outstanding creme brûlée as well – seriously it was like having an out of body experience. and a very good price as well – €34.50. oh forgot about the bread. the meal was served with a lovely bread, so soft and flavourful. would absolutely go back again.

Good Belgian dining option in front of the Church of Our Lady on a nice open square. We had a lovely lunch. Try the stew (not sure if it’s Flemish name), it was super tasty & filling.
