Unfussy seasonal food cooked from scratch in a 19th-century building with stone walls & beams.

We came here for the 5 course New Year’s Eve dinner and it was fantastic. Ever dish was excellent and there was a great atmosphere in the restaurant. The staff were efficient and friendly. I’d definitely recommend this place. Although the menu was fixed for NYE, they were able to adapt the dishes to dietary requirements and my partner with coeliac disease was very well catered for.

We had dinner in the dark because the restaurant went out of power. The food was okay, a fixed set menu from dining week. The portion of main course – veal, was generous. The crispy duck tastes also good, a bit like Peking roasted duck. The foccacia was bad, too shaggy in the middle ..

Went during dining week, as a result it was very busy and the staff were rushed and not super attentive. We were also asked to leave 20 mins earlier than the ticketed time. Food was really nice, we had the 5 course menu, lots of drink options but they do charge for still water which I don’t love

This place was fantastic! I arrived around 9:30 PM without a reservation, and they still seated me right away. The atmosphere was inviting, and the food smelled incredible.
The customer service was professional and friendly throughout. I ordered the lobster bisque, surf and turf, and a Hugo spritz—every single item was phenomenal.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Two thumbs up! I highly recommend this place—you won’t be disappointed.

Food was alright. The chicken on the salad seemed to be some frozen meat as it was quite gooey unlike the chicken burger patty.
The fish was extremly oily but crisp, so were the fries.
The place fairly dark which makes the menu hard to read.

It is unlikely to walk in and get a table in a good restaurant at almost 10 pm but we managed it and it turned out an excellent experience!Totally happy with the food, the service and the atmosphere. Prices are reasonable, and the drinks menu offered plenty of options to explore. Highly recommended!

Entire dinner absolutely ruined by costumer service. Our family was dining here because they have gluten free options. When we were seated they only gave us two menus for 6 people and then took 30-40 minutes to take our orders (even water), due to this lack of efficiency we ordered appetizers, drinks and food in one go. Then we asked to leave our table before we could order dessert. Server rude and inexperienced. Manager apologized but played dumb. Food was gluten free and slightly above average. Cuidado gente latina. Maybe it’s because we were a mixed table from Canada, the US and Mexico but our bill was almost 3,000kr and it wasn’t worth it. Thank you for ruining our last night in Copenhagen.

We had high expectations for this well-reviewed restaurant, and while the surf n turf was indeed delicious, it was unfortunately the only highlight of the meal. The soup was far too salty for our taste, and the steak—ordered medium-rare—was served overcooked, closer to medium-well. When we shared this feedback with our server, it was clear he wasn’t truly listening or interested in our experience. We understand it might have been a long shift, but we expected more professionalism and attentiveness, especially at a place of this reputation. A simple acknowledgment or effort to make things right would have gone a long way.

The restaurant has a nice, well-decorated interior and can accommodate many people. The food wasn’t quite to my taste, perhaps because I’m not very fond of mild Danish cuisine. However, the service was excellent.

Surf and turf was great, with a very generous portion. Service was warm and welcoming even though I was dining alone. Reminder to make a booking in advance as tables fill up quite quickly. Their choices of red wine (by glass) are somewhat limited though – most were on the “lighter” side. Good to know – they charge extra for credit card payment and they generally prefer cash (can’t recall if they offer discount).
