This is the first time I’ve felt I need to go back and rethink all of my 5-star reviews I’ve made in the past for other restaurants because Poppe has set a new bar for me. My wife and I ordered the 8-course menu while we were visiting with our 4-year old daughter. They right away did everything to make sure our daughter was taken care of and happy while we took our time to eat our lengthy meal. The chefs came out multiple times to interact with us all and the waitress was very knowledgeable. For dessert our daughter was allowed to “make her own” with one of the chefs. I will say, we were here on a Wednesday night so it was not very which may have allowed the staff to give us extra special attention but if it wasn’t for their hospitality I would still say the food was excellent and some of the best dishes we have ever had. One might expect to pay an extraordinary amount of money for this experience but when I looked at the bill (having been recommended a few wines and liquors without knowing the price I was a little concerned) I was surprised how low it was. Certainly not cheap but very appropriate for what we were given.

Absolutely loved Poppe’s. My husband and I were visiting Zwolle for the evening and made a reservation here. The food was delicious and had beautiful presentation. Service was friendly and good timing with dishes and checking in. Highly recommend!

Ordered 3 courses menu, salmon-meat(pork and beef)-brownie with ice cream which is fantastic combination. They made my christmas day!
Old and sentimental mood which has kept in heritage things. In addition, food and wine pairing, staffs all nice and friendly.
Was looking for Michelin star restaurants but it was not easy to find booking available. In spite of all my difficulties, it was the right choice to visit Poppe.

I visited Zwolle several times and Restaurant Poppe is definitely the best one for me. Their foods are well served and super fresh and delicious! Besides, their waitress/waiters are very very friendly and professional!!! Good quality food and service, with relative lower price. Their dining environment is also wonderful. Really enjoyed the whole evening. We’ll for sure visit this restaurant again!!!
