We had a wonderful Valentine’s dinner at Le Coupe-Chou. The entire evening felt special from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was warm and charming — perfect for a romantic night out.
Dinner was absolutely wonderful. Each course was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Our waiter was attentive without ever being intrusive, and we truly enjoyed interacting with him throughout the evening. His professionalism and friendly personality added to the experience and made the night feel even more personal.
Most importantly, my wife and I had a fantastic time celebrating Valentine’s Day here. It was a memorable evening in a beautiful setting, and we would gladly return on our next visit to Paris.

This place was almost good. But let me start by the service: really great and friendly, top really. Then the ambiance, very cozy, traditional, with this lovely and unique aura of Paris. Finally, the food, and this was really the downside: blunt. One can tell they use great produce, but the execution was poor. It have everything to be great, but it really fell short of it. For the price it was not worth it, but frankly speaking and regardless of the price, it was just badly executed food. It’s not even a matter of preference, like I just didn’t like it; it was just… sad. The pork with cauliflower purée was exactly that: sad. The desert was good, though, both tasty and well executed. There are better options in the city both within and below the price range.

We came here for Valentine’s Day, since we wanted a memorable experience during our visit to Paris. Overall, I would say we had a decent time and a “good” meal, but not as much as I had hoped.

The restaurant is situated in a house that has so much character and atmosphere. The setting is intimate and warm. For those who love taking pictures for social media (not us), this place is a gem. Every dining room is different and well decorated so it feels special.

Service was prompt and professional, though a bit terse and distant (even in Parisian context). We asked for a wine recommendation and was suggested a Pinot noir. We ordered foie gras appetizer to share and ordered the duck and steak as main course. The foie gras was delicious and great to share. The duck was also very good. However, my steak (and vegetables served with then steak) arrived cold, likely sitting at the kitchen a tad too long. The server quickly saw to it that it was warmed back up promptly. Still the steak was under seasoned (I rarely add salt to restaurant food), so this was a surprise. Overall, the steak was not memorable and I would recommend the duck instead
For dessert, we ordered the ile flottante, which was absolutely delicious and well presented.

As we went to pay for the meal, we realized that the server did not serve us the Pinot Noir he recommended, but a higher price bottle instead. Since we drank the wine, we were fine to pay for what we consumed. But we didn’t appreciate the sudden change of story about the wine he suggested being not available (and not telling us). Again, we are fine paying for the slightly more expensive wine since we drank it, but the lack of communication leaves a bad taste in the mouth at the end.

As many have noted, this place is nice and the decor beautiful (5/5). Food wise, it’s moderate to good, somewhat inconsistent (cold main dish), 3/5. Service is mediocre to underwhelming 3/5.

We will try to remember this as being our St Valentines meal and move on. Unlikely to come back again, since we have experienced better during our first half of Paris visit.

Very homey atmosphere. We had the squid and cuttlefish, the duck, the filet mignon, and the creme brulee. So hard to pick a favorite as every single dish tasted delicious. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We would happily eat here again, and we would definitely recommend this place. Best to come with a reservation as it was quite full in the evening.

We have enjoyed this restaurant many times in the past.

Ambiance is warm and delightful. So traditional.

Sadly the food was not what we remembered. Sauce for the steak wasn’t quite right. The fois gras also lacked a “Je ne sais pas”. Hopefully they will get it right next time.

All else is just perfect.

Excellent and distinguished atmosphere and delicious food. It’s like no other restaurant we visited in Paris. Each seating is very personal and custom. It feels like they made the room for you.
The food, of course is all delicious : the serving of foie gras was substantial and delicious with the crustinis provided. The escargot was buttery garlic goodness and again an ample serving, and they kept bringing bread if we needed to soft up more of the butter. And then the duck… Rich and delicious.
This is the second time we’ve eaten here . Still fantastic and the service is wonderful course.
Make sure you visit the bathroom, but don’t bump your head as you go down into the cellar.

I really love this place so much. Everything about it is exquisite. Not only do you get to eat in a historic building with lots of charm, the atmosphere is so cozy, especially in the winter when the fire places are lit. The quality of the food is superb. I went there with my French contacts recently and they were blown away by how good the food was for the price. And the prices really are very reasonable for what you are getting. You really need to make reservations, though, so make sure you do. Also, after you are done with your meal, I highly recommend taking a digestif in the salon, it’s very charming! You can also have an aperitif there, too.

We chose it for our wedding anniversary. It was like being in a medieval house, and the dim lighting and candlelit small tables were just what we wanted. The staff who greeted us at the door and our waiter were attentive. We enjoyed our meals.

The atmosphere was amazing and exactly the reason we chose to come. It set the tone for the evening and did not disappoint. Service was a bit mixed – our waitress was excellent, attentive, and clearly very capable, but the restaurant was quite busy and short-staffed, which limited the attention she could give. Even so, she did a very good job.

The food was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. The pork was delicious, though the portion size felt a little on the small side. The duck was excellent, and the snails stood out as especially well-prepared.

While the meal was expensive for a young couple, the cost felt reasonable when compared to other restaurants of similar quality. In the end, the atmosphere was the highlight and made the evening special. We had a very enjoyable time.

We came for our anniversary. It was quiet and we had high hopes based on reviews. Food was good, however the service was lacking. Our waitress had no support. We had to ask several times for things. We had hoped for some engagement or at least service beyond the very basic. A smile even. We speak English and French. Felt like tourists getting the bare minimum.
