Had a great dining experience here. Each dish is well balanced, flavorful with the right amount of seasoning. Though it is slightly far from the main tourist street but the walk is absolutely worth it. Will definitely visit again!

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, Restaurant Laterne in a marvelous treat that I highly recommend on your visit to Interlaken. There’s seating inside and out… we chose inside because of the incredibly homey feel and lovely Swiss decor. Tina, our server, was positively delightful and so helpful. We ordered the Raclette and the Schweinssteak. Both were incredibly delicious, with the side of spaetzel the absolute star in my opinion. This is a great place and we can’t wait to return.

this restaurant is a little out of the way from the tourist street, closer to the residential area, but the food was seriously good. the portions were gigantic and the friendly owners allowed us to stay in the restaurant at 530 since we didn’t know they only serve dinner at 6pm. the complementary bread dip was divine and the rosti was great! definitely recommend. the ambience was also very pleasant.

The raclette dish is very good with fresh ingredients, the veal entrecôte with in-house herbs butter and the cordon bleu are excellent as well. Plenty of parking space. What i found funny and weird was that they charged 3.5 chf for .5 liter of tap water!

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise in Switzerland. It was tucked away from the main center of Interlaken. It was a quiet cozy place with beautiful Swiss chalet wooden interior. It wasn’t crowded when we went, it was very laid-back & chill with a few locals in there.
Server was super nice, patient, and made us feel welcomed. She helped us out with which options were the best.
I ordered a veal schnitzel, which was very delicious and piping hot. The breading was very light, buttery, and crispy. It wasn’t oily. The veal was nice and tender. I like that the food wasn’t too salty. The seasoning on the crispy fries were also very good.
I also got to try the fondue, which was very delicious. To my surprise, it had a little bit of liquor in it, which gave it a nice deeper nuttier taste.
The lamb was nice and tender and the accompanying vegetables weren’t overcooked.
This meal was filling, delicious and for a good price.
looking at reviews of other restaurants in the area, there was a concern for quality and service. But this place was a nice cozy restaurant with great service and even better food. I would recommend if you’re in the area and want to get away from some of the more busier places .

We were recommended this restaurant by Philip our Air bnb host. Such a gem in nice residential area. The food is wonderful. The rosti is the best and we have tried a number of places during our trip. They also serve a special butter with your bread which is so tasty and they won’t tell us their secret recipe . Go early to get a table. We arrive at 6.15pm and there were still many tables available. By 7pm they were nearly full.
