The location is fantastic with the perfect view of lake and mountains and we did enjoy our drinks however the service was a bit of letdown. We weren’t initially given menus and after a while the server simply asked what we wanted without offering one. Later, we noticed that other customers received menus and friendlier explanations about the food and desserts. The view is worth it, but the service could definitely be more welcoming and consistent.

Wow! My veal steak with morel mushrooms was sooooooooo good! I thought I came here for the view, but the food blew me away. It was very delicious.
The dessert tray looked so sumptuous! I wanted meringue with cream (double cream from Gruyère, so it’s much thicker than whipped cream and not sweet), but I ended up ordering pecan pie with that double cream. So. So. So. Good.

We walked over and arrived 15 minutes early for our 19:00 reservation. The manager greeted us and sat us . The kitchen was not yet open so my wife had a glass of the local sauvignon blanc and I had a glass of the local, very dry rosé. The staff was helpful, friendly, efficient without being intrusive. We had sautéed chanterelles and prawn risotto as entrees, both especially delicious. My wife had the rack of lamb, different than the American or Australian lamb we get at home, but prepared medium rare, sauce on the side, as requested. I had local fera, a fresh water fish from Lac Léman (Lake Geneva), a mild, white fish with a caper and olive sauce. Very tasty. We were unable to resist dessert. My wife had a chocolate cake, outstanding. I had the best Black Forest cake I have ever eaten. The outdoor setting with the lake view made everything more enjoyable.

Casual lakeside restaurant with convenient parking and easy access. It’s not overly crowded, which is a nice change from many other spots by the lake. The food is good, and they also offer a plat du jour if you’re in the mood for something simple.

I visited the restaurant today, and while the food was absolutely delicious, I was disappointed with the service. Upon sitting down, we received nothing on the table, despite noticing the server offering olives to other customers. When I asked about it, he initially said it was because other customers had a reserved table, but later brought us some olives. However, we only got bread without butter, while other tables received both. This inconsistent treatment left me feeling upset and uncomfortable, overshadowing the great food.

La Perle du Lac is an institution in Geneva. Nestled along the lakeside and the park, the location on the terrace has a magnificent view. The interior is also beautiful. We had a wonderful magret of duck for lunch with really nice cakes for dessert.
