We were told that the chef was new and we thought he was new to the restaurant, not to the business.
Food was really disappointing.
We ordered two 20€ glass of Chablis and we could hardly see any wine in the glass.
Also the waiters were kind of junior and totally unprepared to deal unsatisfied customers. They told us that we were not the only ones not happy with the food…
The windows were dirty, the toilets outside and old.
There are plenty of places around there where you can have much better at a fraction of their prices…

UPDATE: of course we complained, but the waiter told us we were not the only ones unhappy with the food and just ignored us.
I have hidden the face of clients as requested, I just wanted to highlight the state of the windows.
I will call out one dish in particular – on the side of the grilled octopus entrée was a small piece of (I believe) Andouillé sausage. When I first tasted it, I was genuinely transported in my mind back to my grandmother’s kitchen when I was a child, 100% Ratatouille/Anton Ego style. I disappeared for several seconds, in the best possible way. How they made that happen, I do not know, but I’m grateful that they did.
The service was lovely.
I honestly do not understand the one star reviews here. I wonder if it is some kind of expectations mismatch. They seem to me to be reviews more of the people themselves and their state if mind than of this restaurant. Maybe if you are a person who is grumpy and sour and doesn’t like nice things, this is not the place for you.
UPDATE: perhaps the restaurant hoped that I won’t translate their reply, but I did. You just lied from start to end: 1. Chef never came over, there were three or four waiters who stopped at our table for three seconds and then ran away. 2. It was us to decide to leave your restaurant and not you offering us to go to bistro. 3. We reserved the restaurant at the hotel reception not at the restaurant itself. And last but not least: you lie that it was us to behave disrespectfully. Shame on you!
1. It was quite cold in the restaurant at night and some people had to keep their coat during the whole evening
2. Waiters were unexperienced and not ‘warm/chaleaureux’
3. But the most dissapointing thing was that the meat (that was cooked for 36 hours) was extremely dry (it should melt in the mouth) and almost not eatable, and when we told the waitress about it in a very polite and gentle way, she just said ‘okay’ and we never saw her again. Not even a word like ‘we’re sorry’ or ‘we will talk about it with the chef’…. Quite unexeptable behaviour.
4. In the end, we’ve paid too much for what we’ve eaten and the sevice that we’ve got.
This doesn’t deserve a one Michelin star but rather a one ‘google review’ star
I see that there is a doubt on the authenticity of this review. We had dinner on 12/10/2021. Strange that you now reply that you would have turned up the heat and that you care, because when we told that some food was not ok, nobody cared, listened and responded. We were left literally and figuratively in the cold.
