Beautiful setting on the patio dominating the valley. Service was extremely efficient and welcoming. Food came out quickly, and overall good- it lacked seasoning to my taste. The only dish that fell very short was the pasta with Parmesan and summer truffles- they were dry and completely flavorless. Besides that a delightful evening. Forgot to mention, a really great wine list with lots of small producers working in organic and natural ways- two thumbs up for the wine list!

When visiting a restaurant I’m not willing to hear comments like: “if you asked for it.. surely it’ll come soon” from the staff.. specially after being waiting for more than 10 minutes already…
Another great comment: “Why are you looking at that? Do you want to help us cleaning?”…

Amazing stay: beautiful hotel with a wood just close to it. The smell in all the hotel is so good, the room was lovey with elegant decor and absolutely spotless. Cleanliness here is first class. The receptionist is a fantastic and professional girl who welcomed us with a big smile and looked after us during the whole stay. Upon our departure we had the chance to chat a little with her and she had such marvellous words for her bosses, which was great to hear as this speaks about the healthy and beautiful relationship the owners of the hotel and their personnel were able to establish. Actually, the atmosphere at La Garenne is great, they make you literally feel at home and all the staff looks like a big family. The food at the restaurant is absolutely OUTSTANDING (top notch French ingredients combined to create dishes full of flavour and taste) served by an attentive, always caring and smiling staff. On the New Year’s Eve the dinner was superb, and there were even more people who looked after the clients, and they were as professionally prepared as kind.
We loved everything at La Garenne. Last but not least, they helped us so much with the language, all of them. We appreciated it so much.
We travel a lot and we can definitely say that La Garenne and its people are on the top of our favourites’ list now. Thanks again for everything!

We stayed at Hotel La Garenne for five nights and enjoyed two meals, one dinner and one lunch, at the restaurant.
The food was overall great. We enjoyed a three course dinner with overall good dishes. Service during dinner could have been better, but the owner, the chef and staff apologized and our concerns were fully resolved.
The two course lunch was great, nice flavors and much better service.
We recommend the restaurant and the hotel.

We were lucky to be served as we arrived at 13:20 and closing time was 14:00. But we were doubly lucky to have stumbled on this restaurant en route to elsewhere, as it was superb! We chose the three-course menu at 24 euros each, compliments to the chef for beautifully presented, delicious combinations of flavours, and to all the staff on great service. Really really recommended.

The view is stunning and the food was fantastic. We had tart flambe which was one of the best I have ever eaten. We also had carpaccio which was delicious. Breakfast at the hotel the next morning was also terrific. We had one salty option and one sweet option and shared.

The interior felt fairylike, somewhat like Bilbo Baggins’ house in the Shire but with a modern twist, especially when sitting in the restaurant below next to the fireplace. The terras outside was modern and cosy at sunset. The restaurant staff and personnel was really kind and helping. Such a great experience, would love to return some day!
