Beautiful cozy place with delicious high quality fresh food. The owners are sweet and happy to share their little family business and expertise with everyone who comes.
Yes it takes some time to eat especially if you order table d’hote but it is worthwhile to enjoy a lovely meal with people you love and relax and disconnect.
I suspect those who give one star reviews came in with specific expectations. It is nice to enjoy a restaurant where you don’t feel that you are being pushed out for more customers, which is hard to find.
First time customer but will be back in the future!!

Super disappointed! We came on Saturday night before 8pm, and was told it is closed soon. Website shows open 6pm to 11pm. It is a small town. We drove far to the location.Everyone was very disappointed by the cold face in a cold night. I definitely not recommend this restaurant!!

Very nice cozy, old style place with waterfront view. Not your typical restaurant. Very friendly and laid back atmosphere. They make you feal like part of the family. Loved the service and, with Fondue, you can’t go wrong.

This restaurant has been in business for quite some time. Given some of the more favourable reviews we decided to celebrate my wife’s birthday there last night. BIG mistake!! We were first welcomed by the owner/server/head operational manager in a very rude manner. Shown to our table and told with a high degree of attitude what the procedure was and what to expect . It’s a fondue restaurant , not very complicated ! The owner(Suzanne) came back later and again was extremely rude on reviewing the menu option. Had it not been for my wife’s birthday, we would have walked out! The evening continued in the same way. Each interaction was the same. With this absolutely astonishing behaviour it’s a wonder they are still in business. Oh the food was good but the portions were small for the price. Not recommending this one at all unless your looking to get a real tongue lashing! Keep you money. There are better restaurants in Ste. Anne’s.

Our last experience at this establishment is really our last experience. From what we remember from having visited multiple times years ago, both the food and service was exceptional. Not so this time around. Run by a one person show, we were a table of 4 and the balance of our evening was ruined by painfully slow service. What should have taken a maximum of 2 hours, took almost double, and none of us even took dessert. To add, our server was rude and completely indifferent to the beyond lenghty accomodations. Sorry but to have a reservation at 7:30 and only be served our main course at 10:00pm, is by every standard unacceptable. The owners of this restaurant may have had a good run pre-Covid, but it’s clearly time to let sleeping dogs lie and retire or sell as what was made very clear is they are no longer up to customer experience standards. Never again.

Three of us arrived without a reservation on one of the first really fine Friday evenings in June and the promenade along the canal was hopping. We’d checked out the website, read some of the reviews and decided to take a chance in spite of the comments about the service.
When walked in from the street side we did have to wait quite a while before we were acknowledged since there were only two people serving. We have a rule that we wait 5 minutes and if not approached we leave – there are always other good restaurants looking for our business. Once acknowledged we were told that they were short staffed and with only one person in the kitchen our wait would be long. Not an encouraging welcome. Still we persevered!
I suggested that we would leave and try again another time – but only with a reservation. With that the tone changed and we were seated right away and the service began.
We had a great time! Suzanne – the owner is a wonderful woman under that scary exterior. Don’t let her intimidate you…take time to get to know her and then you will experience a great meal, wonderful wine, good music and a charming hostess. We will be back.

Come back every year for our anniversary. Love the atmosphere, love the view and love Suzanne (the owner). She talks to you and treats you like family. No pomp and circumstance. I made the mistake of calling her Ms. Suzanne and she quickly corrected me to just call her Suzanne.
Found the prices to be very reasonable and food was top notch.
Will continue to come back and will highly recommend it to others.
This is one satisfied customer.

We were there for Supper last night with a small group. We thought the waitress very slow, but then she was alone for the whole restaurant. The owner was rather rude in a dry way when talking to us like we should have known the answers to our questions.
We paid a good price for a very small, ordinary, 4 course meal and Coffee was not even included.
What I found worse was that at the end the restaurant kept all our receipts which was illegal and they overcharged everyone. Today when I spoke with my friends we could not verify what they were charged for but all claimed it was way too expensive for what we received.
To top it all the owner, rudely, calls me up today and claimed that one of my men, there were only 3 men out of 17 total group, had not paid their bill. These were regulars that have attended many of my events. I did call the three men up and all paid and all three claimed they were overcharged but no one had a receipt to check what they were charged for. We believe that each person was charged a full bottle of wine when they were sharing a wine bottle between 4 people.
Not a place to return to and PLEASE everyone check your receipts and KEEP THEM.

Overall this restaurant was very enjoyable. Wenhad a table by the window facing the water, a beautiful view. Cheese fondue was amazing. Plenty of meat which was surprising and appreciated. The only complaints we had were the Caesar salad, and dessert. Collectively we didn’t care for the salad. It was nice and creamy but didn’t care for the lettuce or dressing. The dessert fondue just needed more to it. We were out of chocolate very quickly. Other than that, overall it was a nice experience.
