We took omakase imperial menu, it was so nice, we didn’t regret it. All the little dishes were sublime. Wagyu beef at the end melt in the mouth. Normally we don’t like much about the mochis, but they were just so good. A quarter of 3 different flavors was just perfect! Not to mention there was a wide range of sake options of all different regions.
At the end, unlike in other restaurants in Switzerland, they don’t ask you to tip on the credit card machine. I found it nice, after all we are not in the USA where the waiters rely on tips.
We would definitely return again.
The food was good, like *really* good! Amazing quality and impeccable preparation.
We had the 88 CHF per person menu. Yes, it’s more expensive than the average Japanese restaurant in Geneva, but here the quality is really high.
Don’t come here just for the sushi (which is great anyway) but also for the other Japanese dishes that much harder to find in other Japanese restaurants in Geneva. I believe the discovery menu is a great choice in this sense.
Finally, the location is really nice. The restaurant is next to the beautiful garden of Na Village, and the owner is also the same.
I gave 4 and not 5 because I still find it overpriced for the overall amount of food (it was ok, but not a lot) and for the service (we sat at the bar, even though rhey promised me a table!!).
However, there is a huge room for improvement in the service…. Firstly, seems like the AC didn’t work very well. We felt cold, and the food quickly cooled down. Secondly, one of the waiters didn’t quite catch what we ordered and canceled in English…which led to some embarrassment.. Finally, another waiter put the plates we used together with the food to be packaged for takeaway.. —an absolute no-go…
All the above issues are BIG NG in an authentic Japanese recstertant in Japan.
