Stopped by for lunch and absolutely loved it. Fast, friendly service, fantastic Chinese lunch specials available in two portion sizes, and the duck is delicious too – highly recommended!

We went here on November 16, 2024. We ordered fried wan tan, siu mai, tofu with shrimp, chia siu and roasted bacon and roasted duck. The wan tan was more like pangsit, with a lot of flap and not much filling. The siu mai did not seem homemade and came from a wholesaler. The chia siu and bacon were fine, but the tofu with shrimp was disappointing. I would not come back for the food, but the service was extremely friendly. Unfortunately, the food was not more than average.

Authentic dishes, affordable prices, and friendly staff. This was one of the the best Cantonese restaurants in Germany. We will come back soon.

Nice Kantonese restaurant with a huge menu and similar size portions. We liked their dim sum and fried rice dishes. Their duck was not too special (and lots of small bones which was mention at the menu). All in all a good choice if you want good food without too much fuss.

no service. 1/2 duck is not really half duck. is a patchwork. tofu is smelly and sour. but they said in germany the tofu is like this. it says it is a cantonese style restaurant. but chef is from north of china. or may local people. i recommend those people who travel go to local restaurants nearby.

Great place for authentic chinese food in Hamburg. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Definitely coming back here if I get a hankering for Chinese food.

I ate five bowls of rice here. We visited this restaurant during lunar New Year’s Eve and the food was surprisingly tasty. It locates near downtown and the place is super decent as well as their serving.
Don’t eat anything before visiting here! Try some dim sum because they are the soul of Cantonese food.

Desmond tried Restaurant Herr Kwong’s Cantonese cuisine.
It’s super effective!
There’s no air conditioning like most other restaurants in town, so it got pretty warm/stuffy indoor during summer. Thankfully, the silky smooth milk tea I ordered managed to quench my thirst in the hot summer heat.
Herr Kwong’s braised chicken feet is amazing! I’ve tried a few Chinese restaurants in Hamburg and Herr Kwong’s version is the one to beat.
The Beef Hor Fun came in a generous portion, the broad rice noodles were stir-fried masterfully before being covered by the silky egg gravy. The gravy’s texture was not too thick/starchy nor too thin/watery, thus it was perfect to our liking.
Looks like we’ve found ourselves a new place to go in town, whenever the hunger for Cantonese food hits us.
