We’ve been eating here for many years and it’s always a terrific experience. Dan did a wonderful job for us today, and the 8 oz filet was the best ever! Same with the Gnocci with mushrooms. The drinks were awesome as well. Overall, a great time!

Great food, atmosphere, and a cool history! The service was incredible. Our waiter, Brad, clearly had a lot of passion for his work. He was very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions on the menu, and made fantastic recommendations like the lamb ribs. Brad took extra care to make accommodations for our group, made us feel welcome, and made our night even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Nice place to impress someone. The food is so so. Nice warm environment. Too bougie for me. I would prefer a scratch kitchen like Scarlett kitchen or 3 squares. The owner came by and thanked us for stopping.

Perfect valentines date night! Such a classy atmosphere and great service. We got super pretty seats with big windows next to the river. Food was magnificent.

Absolutely stunned with this place. Great vibe, kind of old fashioned and upscale. The bar area is a bit small, but it seems like only a good thing because it stays quiet enough to hold a conversation the whole time you’re there. The bartenders are all very nice and are good conversationalists when stuff at the bar isn’t keeping them busy. The deviled eggs are quite good as far as appetizers go. The Nic Burger is nice and filling and very tasty and the bacon is thick, cut and delicious. As far as drinks go so far I’ve had the black Manhattan and one of their old fashions they were both excellent and this place has some of the best bartending I’ve had in a while. The bourbon peach delight for dessert was also heavenly. Will definitely be making this a regular stop!

My husband and I came here for NYE dinner, and the restaurant was half empty despite what should have been a busy night- that should have been our first clue. Our server was Tom, and from the get go he made us feel like we were greatly inconveniencing him by being there. We did not feel welcome at all, and it got worse as the dinner went on. The food was extremely mid, my husband had the lamb chops and they were raw. Instead of apologizing Tom took the chop back to be cooked more and came by, dropped the chop onto my husband’s plate and walked away without saying anything; it was bizarre. For a $250 meal, I would have expected much better all the way around. A beautiful location clearly past it’s prime.

I went there with a friend for brunch.
The waitress Ann was the highlight for me.
I got a wedge salad and Philly cheesesteak sandwich.
The salad was a few leafs if lettuce with scant dressing and bacon.
The Angus cheesesteak was not very well seasoned. The meat was cut in wedges so that when I took a bite, my jaws were filled to capacity, that I couldn’t hold up my end of the conversation. I took the sandwich to go but threw it in the trash.
The bourbon caramel cheesecake was DELICIOUS!!

My husband and I dined here for the second time, and the experience was as magical as the first. The dining area is cozy, sophisticated, and provides lovely views of the Merriam Bridge, pavilion, and river. We were delighted to have the same server, Rebecca, who made us feel like regulars and provided impeccable service. The cocktails are delicious, and then we got to the food. This is our favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities. Everything was wonderfully prepared, and meant to be savored. Perfect place for a romantic evening and/or to treat yourself.

Came here for Mother’s Day, I thought the food was really good, much better than Alma’s. Cheaper too. Not overhyped. If anything, under-hyped. Pastries I remember were especially good but all around, very delicious food that’s fancy and makes you feel very happy. Will be coming back.
