⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Gideon’s Ridge Restaurant
We had an incredible dining experience at Gideon’s Ridge! The views are absolutely breathtaking — a perfect backdrop for an elegant evening. The restaurant itself is beautiful and welcoming, with a peaceful atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile.

Our waitress, Bower, was exceptional. Her friendly personality and attention to detail made the entire experience perfect from start to finish.

I had the duck, which was cooked to perfection — flavorful, tender, and beautifully presented. My wife had the sea bass, which was equally delicious and fresh. Every dish was crafted with care and paired wonderfully with the stunning setting.

If you’re looking for a memorable meal with amazing food, wonderful service, and unbeatable views, Gideon’s Ridge is a must-visit.

Using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and distinctive sauces, each bite offers a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that truly sets this restaurant apart.

Service is warm and attentive, with enthusiastic staff eager to share their knowledge and recommendations, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere.

The impressive wine list is thoughtfully curated to complement the exquisite food, inviting you to explore new pairings. Whether for a special occasion or a casual meal, this restaurant delivers an unforgettable experience.

Last but not least is their stunning view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Never have enough.

[Update] My wife did make reservations for us to stay in October, and we again had dinner at the Restaurant. Our memories of the experience were 100% validated – once again, the meal was amazing.
We each had the Scallop for the first course, and it was so perfect, it’s hard to describe. What’s really remarkable about that (for me), is that I normally don’t like scallops!
We skipped the soup/salad course and went straight to entrees. My wife’s 6oz Wagyu Filet Mignon was superb, and my Wagyu Shortribs were amazing, too.
Coffee Creme Brûlée? Yes please! The crispy caramelized top was so sweet, and the coffee flavor so rich, it was fabulous.

[Original] It’s odd to have visited The Blowing Rock Park here as many times as I have over my decades in NC, but to have somehow completely missed this hidden gem of a restaurant (or the Inn!) so close by. Now that we know about it though, we’ll be sure to return.
The Cheese Plate was easily enough to serve as a starter for 4 people; the 3 of us had to take some to go, so as to avoid killing our appetite for the main course. We skipped the soup/salad for the same reason and are glad we did. My wife and daughter shared the 8oz Wagyu Tenderloin with a fresh Basil Pesto (quite sharp and amazing), while I had the Venison Tenderloin. Both were cooked to perfection, and the accompanying vegetables & potatoes were wonderfully seasoned.
Oh, and that Guava Crème Brûlée? TO DIE FOR! I’ve had crème brûlée in 2-star Michelin restaurants that were no better (and they were amazing, obviously!) Sooooo creamy and light, exploding with flavor, the crisped top wasn’t too thick/crunchy, but a perfect thin layer. INCREDIBLE.

Stellar. Everything was impeccable, from the view to service to the food. They strive for perfection and make you feel like you’re the most important people in the room. There’s not enough good things to say. Get a reservation two weeks in advance and try it for yourself.

Sensational. The food is amazing but it’s the service, ambiance, and atmosphere that really steal the show. The small menu highlights fresh local ingredients and the dishes reminded me of some three Michelin star dinners I’ve had in NYC. Eric Ripert himself would be proud of their halibut presentation! The views are spectacular and the service is friendly and knowledgeable but never stuffy. We’d happily drive from Charlotte to have dinner here whenever we can.

It was our 39th wedding anniversary. Reservations were made well in advance for 5PM on this Saturday night. We arrived early and enjoyed the views in front of the Inn, then went inside to enjoy drinks by the fire prior to seating. The Tom Collins (Beefeater, of course) for me was superb, and the Margarita for the lady was outstanding. Tip of the cap to the barman for his professionalism and craftwork. Once seated, our waiter, Jeremiah, provided a level of service that can only be described as exemplary. A pantheon of servers proceeded to bring bread, water, second course, and entrees to our table. We skipped the first course, due to our concern that we would not have room for dessert. All of the food items to this point were delicious. Then, the desserts. Talk about wonderful. They were that and more. The atmosphere was spectacular, and there was a young couple this night that had a surprise engagement, at least for the young lady it was. We are still talking about the experience we had, and we will return again, soon. This level of service does not just happen, it is due to great management that goes all the way up to the owner’s, the Milners. Kudos to all who have worked hard to make this Inn the meeting place it is this day!

Ate here 1/19/26 and had amazing food and service. My fiancée and I are in the industry and kept commenting on how good of a server Parker is. Knowledgeable of his menu, does his table touches at the perfect time, and is a pleasure to talk to but is not overly talkative.
Food was impeccable. The chef definitely allows the ingredients to shine. Everything is perfectly seasoned and plated elegantly.

What an incredible dining experience. Our 1st visit and regret we did not discover it sooner. From the valet service, to cocktails, to our fantastic dinner, we can offer nothing but praise.

One of my favorite places in the world. We love Gideon Ridge. It’s is our 4th year in a row staying onsite and always doing dinner on Saturday night. Menu changes but still has mainstays like the awesome chicken liver pate. Great drinks and wine. The best part is the staff from hostesses to waitresses. Plus Hunter Womble and his partner Tim are fantastic cooks. Look forward to many more meals here over the years to come.

Everything was great. The one thing that wasn’t spectacular was my wife’s steak was a bit on the cool side. We learned the mushrooms on the side were pickled and cold, which was an interesting choice as a side for a steak. Everything else was great and the service and views were wonderful. We will definitely come back!
