We had a truly wonderful experience at Al Borgo! As vegetarians, we were delighted to find delicious options, the Spaghetti Aglio e Olio was especially outstanding. The flavors were authentic, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Highly recommended!

Dear all. We been in Al Borgo many years ago. Since first visit (2017) we like this restaurant very much. In our memory it was one of the best Italian cuisine restaurants, visited in the many different countries, including Italy itself. During the years, owners keep flag up and provide their guests best food and hospitality.

Had a great dinner here! The food was perfect and the service was super quick. We ordered the seafood spaghetti, rigatoni with cream-orange sauce and lamb chops. All were great..highly recommend.

There was no truffle pasta (reviews that mentioned it brought us here). There menu was very strange – it was hard to choose a dish and I eat everything. The meat sauce tagliatelle was great, just I finished it in 3 bites and was still hungry after. The owner was very nice to us but this place was very forgettable. The tiramisu was not worth trying.

Wonderful service, felt so welcomed and taken care of the whole time. The staff were all committed to a lovely experience and the food matched the service. We had the tagliata di Manzo, risotto with purple cabbage and bolognese for dinner. Would have loved to try dessert but we were satisfied. Delicious Italian food with a family friendly vibe. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Vienna!

Absolutely amazing experience at Al Borgo! The food was delicious, authentic, and beautifully presented – you can really taste the quality and love that goes into each dish. The setting is cozy and elegant, with a true family-run feel. What really made the night special though was the staff. They were so funny, warm, and full of personality – it felt like we were having dinner at a friend’s house. They made us laugh, feel at home, and genuinely added so much to the whole experience (shoutout to Emiliano).

All in all, highly recommend if you’re looking for a proper Italian meal in Vienna with heart, flavour, and charm. Will definitely be coming back!

The food is good/average, if you were and ate in Italy, but I had a quite small portion of calamari and gamberetti with salad, for 28€. I have not remember they close at 3 pm, so I reserved a table for 2 pm. The service was in a hurry, and at 14:35 we were told the restaurant closes, so we had to leave.

We came here for lunch on a weekday. We had a tagliatelle bolognese, a mixed seafood spaghetti, 2 cokes, together with some complementary breads and biscuit sticks. The warm breads were tasty. The bolognese was tasted okay as it’s tasted like exactly how I usually cooked. However, the mixed seafood spaghetti was too salty, which my wife was unable to finish it. We didn’t complain as the staffs were so nice & gave us many free breads & biscuits. As a result, we were reluctant to upset them.
I’d still recommend AI Borgo to anyone who visited Vienna. Given the fact that it ranked so high up in the reviews, I think it must be just an one off mistake made by the chef on the day we visited.

We had dinner here on our last night in Vienna. I’m so sorry that we didn’t discover this fantastic restaurant earlier as I would definitely have eaten there again! Outstanding service, world class food and great wines. My husband and I shared the Gratinated Prawns (superb). I had the Baked Paccheri with swordfish, prawn, ricotta, pine nuts on saffron lime cream – one of the most outstanding dishes I’ve ever had! My husband had the Spaghetti with Seafood which was delicious. If you’re in Vienna, I highly recommend this spot. The waiters are top class, the owner is very welcoming. Ambience is classy and cosy.
