So ita a cool little place.
5 stars because this is these folks lively hood. They have parking for us truck drivers so I support them regardless of my review.

Now let me say this I like clean restaurants. And this one was clean. They were actively cleaning BUTTT!!! The lady in the picture i took although very very nice!! is waaaaay to comfortable open mouth coughing everywhere and not covering her mouth. Nasty wet coughs!!! She was even taking orders and coughing while doing it.
No sorry or turn to side and cough, just in they face holding the note pad,” COUGH COUGH so you want the salad right COUGH COUGH!!! Smile
I watched her and if she put my food together I wouldn’t have ate it.
She was making a salad while coughing like come on!!!

Anywho there is a Bar and gift shop. There is a texaco but its $12 for frozen pizza and $8 for a regulat hungry man!!
Anywho walked across the lot to the restaurant and saw its a local spot. Few regulars in there. It’s a bar in the gift shop and texaco gas station.

Now to the food. Everything is really expensive. Truck Driver’s take a chance or just head to the Mavericks up the road.

I got the chicken Alfredo $20 and cherries $5. $25
Alfredo was 7/10 after I put 2 pepper and salt packs. The way they gave it 4/10 no seasoning but eatable if had no choice. The fact the chicken was real breast and grilled saved them.! I was gonna take it back.
Baked potato was fresh very hot.
Garlic bread smelled old but kinda good the one bite i took
Churros were really good.

Wish I could give 10 stars! Stopped for dinner during snow storm. Awesome food all around. Husband had the rib eye steak and said it was great. I had pasta and it was great. We both had loaded potatoes, Awesome. Even the side salad was delicious and included beets and chicken peas which are never on a salad unless it’s a all you can eat. Overall great experience, very nice staff, service was great. Will be back if we come thru here again.

Despite other reviews, we had a lovely breakfast. Seated ourselves, waitress Kacy was right there to wait on us. Included breakfast from our overnight stay at the motel next door was a good sized pancake, large slice of ham and an egg with coffee. All hot and served with a smile. Be sure to go into the bar and gaze at the silver dollars all over the place.

Steak was decent. Eggs ok. Pancakes and hash browns were horrible. I swear they took last weeks leftovers, over cooked them, and served them. Food shows up fast. Hash browns are like a mass of overcooked french fries wadded togerher with an odd burnt oil taste.

Stopped here for dinner about an hour before closing. We were greeted then forgotten about until I got the waitress’s attention. I had the French Dip, which came with two very slim slices of beef, au jus that was cool and flavorless, and cool unseasoned fries. Wife had the chicken fried steak which came with brown gravy. It was odd, but she liked it.

This place has lost it’s old-time-truck-stop charm. The plates are now square, black, and plastic. The service is lacking and the food is waaaay overpriced, especially considering the quality.

Incredibly over-priced food.
No offense, however, this was below Dennys & microwaved food quality for outrageous pricing.
Staff & waitresses were kind & accommodating enough, no problem there, however, even they didn’t seem proud to be there.

Stopped for breakfast. Not too busy, but it took 30 minutes to get 2 basic breakfast dishes. Waitress never checked back once it was delivered. Had to search out other staff to get jelly for the toast, and then again just to get the check. Food was not great to begin with, but the bacon was ordered well-done, then came out burnt to a crisp, and the hashbrowns were so heavily salted and tough, they were absolutely not edible. When brought to the attention of staff, she thanked us for bringing it to her attention, but made no offer to make it right. When paying, the hostess acted as though she couldn’t be bothered, and never even said thanks. NOT RECOMMENDED!!

Waitress said they make their own chicken fried steaks so I ordered it… it was a frozen piece of crap fried steak.. horrible, if she had told me it was a frozen steak I would of ordered something else. Waitress never came back until she gave me the check, had to ask another Waitress for more coffee.
