Diana is a phenomenal presence, waitress and bartender.
The food was perfection in every way. The tasting menu with set options made it easy to choose. And between all of the options, I didn’t find a single item that wasn’t delectable.
Hanger steak, soup, crème brûlée, chicken cacciatore. Everything was amazing.

The only restaurant in Eureka with enough brass to serve an amuse-bouche (at least I’ve yet to see that teaser anywhere else in Humboldt). Menu varies with seasons. My tastes tend towards smaller dishes for a variety of flavors. In a half dozen visits over a year+ the food itself was . It would be a 4☆ in the Bay Area. In Eureka it’s as good as it gets for upscale.

I was really looking forward to our dinner reservation, but unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. Overall, it was a fine dining experience. However, the restaurant was out of several menu items. The waitress seemed a little disorganized. She came to our table several times before asking what we wanted to eat or drink. It was also a little strange to look down as I was about to eat my next bite and see a stranger’s arm reaching over the plate I was eating from to drop off utensils. A couple other disappointing aspects of our dinner was the fresh bread and charcuterie board. The bread was very tasteless and not enjoyable. And our charcuterie board It did not resemble a charcuterie board, but more like a kids’ snack plate with soggy olives, sliced pickles, a lot of grapes, six blueberries, deli-sliced ham, cheese, and toasted bread-like crackers.
On the positive side, our main course was very tasty and came out hot. Also, the dessert was pleasant and appeared to be made with real ingredients.
