I love Resch’s. Everyone loves Resch’s and I’m pleased to say that the new location has only made them, somehow even BETTER. Unimaginable, but true!
Yearly, I celebrate my birthday with a white cake with white icing, and it’s such a highlight for me!
I love the history of this local bakery as much as I love their present!

DOUGHNUT…think Resch’s is JUST FOR BREAKFAST….I was there are lunch time and it was very steady!! The glazed doughnuts (what I call the standard taste to check how well a doughnut is made) was as amazing as always and just like the original store doughnuts used to taste. Great job keep the tradition going. Of course I ended up with other goodies …so remember DOUGHNUT think doughnuts are JUST for breakfast….lunch and (since they close at 6) dinner too!!!

First time at the new location I wished they still sold individually brownies with nuts. I always grab a slice of cake but didn’t like the icing I’m used to it being more filling. The donuts however are still fresh and amazing today got the giant glazed donut and a bunch of goodies.

The minute you walk in your are surrounded by delicious goodness and the wonderful smell of freshly baked products made with yeast! We bought for the office and tried several different things. The turnover was the best I’ve had since I was in Europe, the fritters are huge and amazing, the jelly filled donuts are packed with real preserves. The glazed knot was one of the best I’ve ever had. I got a cinnamon roll and it was good, but not enough cinnamon for my taste, but still so soft and enjoyable.
I also took home some Parkwr House rolls and they did not disappoint. I’m looking forward to going back for different things, and more turnovers!

I have to say. One of the best doughnuts I’ve had ever. Pure quality. Pure craftsmanship. These doughnuts are better than my hometown doughnut shop and that’s saying something.

Resch’s Bakery when it was located on E. Livingston was a every Saturday staple. We gladly waited in line for Granny Rolls and donut holes. It was my Mom’s favorite bakery. She loved Granny Rolls and Long John’s. She recently passed away. I stopped in her memory for her sweet treats. My experience was anything but what I remembered growing up. I had the rudest person wait on me. Belinda had an attitude that told me she would rather be anywhere else but waiting on me. Honestly she cost the bakery money…I was ready and anticipating spending $50 or more but with her attitude I could not wait to leave. The chances of me returning are slim and none and slim left town. Frank Resch would have been appalled. BTW…prices are off the charts…what was once a daily experience is now a rare visit at best.

I visited the new location with my mom and grandma on a Saturday morning to check out the new bakery, get some donuts, and pre-order two Thanksgiving pies. Upon entering, you’ll grab a ticket with a number and wait behind the roped off area. When your number is called, you can stop forward and place your order. However, several other people are being assisted and crowd the pastry case, and you feel somewhat rushed to make decisions without much space to look at the options. Plus, I don’t remember seeing prices next to the options. Additionally, it’s quite loud in there with all of the commotion, number shouting, and people simultaneously ordering. After we ordered, we were told to step aside to a different spot to pre-order the pies and to pay. We paid for our donuts, and the total was ~$24, and then the pies (pumpkin and apple crumble), which totaled ~$40. I thought the price for the donuts seemed incredibly high, but we didn’t question it in the moment. When we got home, we noticed there were two extra donuts in the box that we didn’t order, but we were charged for them. That was a bit disheartening, but I can see that happening with it being so loud in there.
All-in-all, the donuts and pies were great. Everything tasted fresh and made with quality ingredients. Well, everything but the Danish that my grandma ordered. She said it wasn’t flaky or Danish-like at all and she wouldn’t order it again. The mural on the wall is so cute! It reminded me of the edible wall in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I can see where maybe chairs and tables could be added in the future? We’ll see!
Overall, I’d go here again, but I’ll ask prices up front and check the box before I leave.

My first time going here! Saw a historical thing about the bakery being open for over 100 years on Instagram. I thought I would check it out. The young girl who helped me pick out a variety of things was very nice to and patient. Definitely think I’ll be back to get a cake for our next party!

So happy they chose Gahanna for their new location and that they are receiving lots of support. Operationally, they are a well-oiled machine so if it’s your first time grab a number when you walk in unless you need a lot of time to browse first. It can be a bit hard to hear so double check your order when paying to ensure nothing accidentally gets missed. Sadly, I think of their cinnamon roll like 5 days a week. Yikes.

Awesome selection of donuts. Fresh and tasty. Busy place but efficient ordering process (take a number) . Could be 5 stars if prices were even close to reasonable. One dozen of the specialty donuts was $38. I got a dozen and a half mixed donuts for $50. Great donuts, too expensive.
