This place is just as good as the one in the Marina. I have seen they have been cited by the City for violations. For me, the two times I have been there, it is clean and the place is very cute and comfortable.
The service is really nice. They pay attention to you when you tell them what you don’t want on an item and what you do want. They are patient and kind.
The food here is great. They make great tacos, taquitos and their guacamole is so so good. We also love their burritos and enchiladas.
The prices are very fair and we will be back when we are in town.
Wish I took a picture before I started eating it. I’m basically eating hard cheese and chips, not nachos
If I were to mention one thing: The shrimp quesadilla was surely a hidden gem. Not many places did that but this place did it so well. It’s not too salty like many American Mexican restaurant but it’s just perfect.
We ordered the carne asada nachos, a shredded beef hard taco and al pastor and carnitas soft tacos (but got asada instead, so can’t rate the carnitas).
Service was really friendly and fast considering their drive thru was pretty busy. We decided to order at the front window and scored some doggy biscuits for that choice.
Food was good. Asada had really good flavors, but a little dry. The nachos were huge and more than enough for two. Good thing we ate there, because the chips got soggy pretty quick. Might have been the beans. They give you their ranchero sauce on the side (salsa and cheese sauce) because they probably know it would make them even soggier. Sauce was tasty, but a little on the salty side. Overall really good and something I would order again, but may ask for chips on the side :). Of the three tacos, the shredded beef hard taco was the star. 5 stars for sure. Al pastor was also good but doesn’t compare to one that comes off a spit, so solid 4 stars. Nachos were 3.5 stars but something that can be better if chips were on the side.
Ordered the Cucamonga Burrito w/ Al Pastor. The meat was great and the whole flavor of the burrito was 10/10.
My wife said that the taquitos were great, but I wouldn’t know because she didn’t offer me a bite lol.
The guacamole was perfect, fresh and a ton of it.
Looking forward to coming back soon!
