First off it’s not a big area you’ll have better chances of finding a seat a Dunkin and experience was basically the willy Wonka event where people paid for me nothing just cheesy experience
The drinks were ok I will admit they were good but felt like nothing special it was pretty expensive for a drink and small piece of chocolate that’s no bigger than my hand. What was it 3 dollars ? The VIP reward scavenger hunt was a card that just tricks you into buying food and merch just to give you a post card and the staff telling you “congratulations you did this and it’s rare ” which is not because my cousin got the same card at a convention recently
The main room just cut outs of the characters and video playing on mute of the episodes. There hardly any seats like I mentioned before. The tables are very sticky no one cleans them so it was uncomfortable.
The merch shop had hardly anything to sell. There no restocking there nothing really
Honestly I don’t even feel the wait line necessary they should of just left the doors open and let people get in line for the drinks and the only thing I would do is put a wait line for merch shop so no one steals anything. Trust me the “cafe” area doesn’t offer much and no one gonna stick around if they do less than 10 mins I’m sure.
If you’re gonna have an event at least do something better like karaoke, or fanfic reading, cosplay contest once a day thing. Something or anything to say make it worth the money and time. I don’t think I’ll be coming back but I do wish this place better and I hope they do better events
I ordered the Anarchy Latte and the Flancitos. Both were great! I ordered the latte with Oat Milk for a $1.00 upcharge (lame). The flan was great, very dense and the sauce was so sweet.
The latte did not look like what was advertised on the social media page
page.
The decor was GORGEOUS!! It felt so magical inside. They had a shelf with books for you to read while there, a table full of boardgames and card games.
There was a side room where people were playing DnD and there was a bunch of merch you could buy.
We parked on a side street across from the huge church. The bathrooms were a surprise!
The pictures show me at their recent Over the Garden Wall event.
Seems like we were there the day after a big event because they were sold out of several food items but we are glad we went.
Update: In response to the owner calling the place “packed” here are some photos from inside when I went to the bathroom. Not packed and SEVERAL open seats and tables.
We got inside and it’s… alright of course, they worked hard to have the environment cozy and have lots of photo ops, but what really disappointed me was the experience.
All food was already sold out, which is what I was looking forward to, since I wanted to try the vegan burger I saw. Not even any of the snacks available, just the drinks. My Gatergoo was genuinely delicious however.
The merchandise, while it’s nice that you can support independent artists’ prints, they barely had any actual digital circus merch besides pins. (Might I mention a pin and keychain costed $30…)
The event, while yes it was at 5 pm on a Sunday, was already overcrowded inside, with us getting our drinks 45 minutes isn’t the event after constant standing in line. If you are standby you will have to deal with this on TOP of waiting outside.
I wish they could have done a better job estimating how many people would show up, and prepare for the food in advance. Not sure if I’ll come back for another collab event, and if I do, just go as early as possible…? Of course they are trying their best, but unfortunately this made me have a negative experience visiting.
