Decided to drop by this spot and it was well worth it! The portions are huge! I had leftovers, the photo is just some of the food on a plate. I got brisket with a side of mac & cheese and collard greens. It was so filling and perfectly cooked. My brother got the mac & cheese with pork. Plus the server was super friendly and helpful. There’s not much seating there so I do recommend getting it to go, or even ordering ahead of time for pick up. I will be coming here again!

I was cruising down the street and caught the smell of smoky BBQ aroma… Reo’s Ribs! I’m from Chicago and I was not disappointed. I am so happy I came back! But ironically I did NOT try the ribs I had the beef brisket plate with skillet corn and coleslaw.
The brisket portion was generous, thick juicy cuts with perfectly burnt ends. BBQ was fire and the corn seasoning was tasty. I was not expecting much from the coleslaw…yet I was blown away by the secret dressing, liquid gold!
I guess I gotta come back for some baby back ribs

Amazing food and good service. The banana pudding is the best, but they sell out quickly. The five meat sampler with the 3 sides is the best bargain, and could feed a small family.

Reo’s has a great barbecue, I loved the okra, although a bit salty so eat it with rice, had to add some unsweetened tea to my lemonade because it was a bit sweet for my taste, but if you’re from the south, this place will feel like home. My partner from Georgia says it taste just like a good ol family and friends barbecue back in Savannah. The rib meat falls right off the bones, the sauce will have you sticking your fingers in your mouth whether you washed them or not (guilty), the fried okra is crispy-delicious, and savory as it melts in your mouth – albeit a bit salty, lemonade a bit too sweet for my taste, but she loved it and says that’s how it’s supposed to be back home, given she was a bit sad that the potato salad was not yet ready when we were here. All in all, if you’re in the mood for some delicious soul food, hit this place up.

Great brisket sandwich with plenty of beef. Coleslaw was not mayo based and came with dressing on the side. Different taste than the standard slaw in other places. I’ll come back and get it again.

So great, in 2022, this is now our favorite BBQ place in the Portland/Vancouver area. If you love southern BBQ they do Mississippi style so good, especially the breading for fried okra and catfish, it’s perfect! We had fried catfish, collards, fried okra, hush puppies, and brisket mac & cheese. Only thing we would add is some honey butter for the hush puppies. We were driving on Sandy to downtown smelled them, caught the name, and on our way back we stopped for lunch.

Tasty ribs! Perfectly smoked using wood. Fried okra took some time to get, but was hand battered with a light and crispy batter and perfectly seasoned. One of the best I’ve ever had. Friendly folks and a cozy table.

Bland Brisket …. How is that possible? Not only bland, but the brisket was tough!?! The meat had a distinct lack of marbling so the fatty parts were large and separate from the meat. The sauce was minimal, but I didn’t love it anyway so it probably doesn’t impact my rating. My sides were equally disappointing. The collards are inedible due to saltiness. And the coleslaw came with dressing on the side so I have to mix it myself. The best part of the meal was the unsweet tea.
Service was standard, but I had great conversation with another customer while we were each waiting for our lunches.
It’s been several years since I tried Reo’s barbecue (I live within a mile of this place) and it may be several more before I return.
