I haven’t been in Renner’s since the 90’s We stopped in after Christmas shopping for a late breakfast. It was wonderful. My eggs Benedict were superb as was my husband’s Biscuits and gravy spectacular dish was delightful. The vibe in there is super cool. We will definitely be back as we spend a fair amount of time in Portland. We live at the Oregon coast.

An overlooked breakfast spot!
Forget Fat City and do yourself a treat and come to Renners. This Portland classic serves genuine home-cooked breakfast that doesn’t taste like Denny’s.

Pretty good bar food and a nice range of beers available. Very much a local dive bar spot with limited seating inside. People do bring their dogs inside, so if you are allergic or bothered by that something to be aware of. Their onion rings are fab and their fried chicken sandwich is bomb.

Great dive bar. Dog friendly inside and outside. Vegan dog, salad, veggie burger, random apps all vegetarian. Quick and easy. Great quality.

Based on my experience, I can see why it’s been opened since 1939!!!!!! It’s one of the best burgers I’ve had!!

It’s tight quarters, dog friendly and local. But gives a super cool local vibe. We got great service, but the place was empty. I would wonder what would happen had it been crowded. I would go back though!

Not great. Took 30 minutes for anyone to ask me if I needed anything. After another 30 minutes they said they were out of the cheese for my burger. I said any cheese would do. Finally, after another 10 minutes I got a severely burnt burger. Pretty much inedible. At least I never have to go back there.

Rude and slow. If you don’t want me here I won’t come back. But you have made it clear you don’t care about the customer. After the 3rd chance and 3 bad experiences.
The owner? was rude. Sorry to bother you to give me the food cooling in the window.
Bartender was nice but overwhelmed.

Really wanted to trade $13.00 + 20% tip for an order of chicken strips and fries to take over to a meeting at Perfect Pint. Meeting was at 6:30pm and I called at 5:20 asking the very grumpy sounding person who answered the phone to pick up order at 6:25pm, to which I got an affirmative reply.
Walked in at 6:19pm and was completely ignored for over 10 minutes. Finally at approx 6:31 the bartender/server acknowledged me just to tell me the order had not even been started.
I purposely called the restaurant directly and did not use Door dash or a similar service in order to attempt to put more money into a local business’ pocket.
Anyway, was late for my meeting and walked out empty handed. Not the first time.
For a restaurant that has had go fund me efforts they just don’t seem to be interested in providing goods and services for $$$.

Many good past experiences BUT the servers mislaid MY credit card and said it was MY fault. I would not leave without it and they found it in the dirty dish bin. They wanted me to leave my name and phone number. But they had my card. Very much a problem c
