Renegade is a good little diner on the main road heading north from Rock Springs. From the outside, it’s easy to miss — you wouldn’t guess what’s inside. But once you walk in, it’s packed with people clearly enjoying themselves. We went for breakfast and loved the atmosphere. The service was extremely friendly. Food-wise, the quality was great overall. The pancakes looked fantastic, the eggs were nicely done, and the hot chocolate was amazing — I loved it. Also the coffee was unexpectedly great – medium light roast for the drip. The grilled cheese was okay, though I would’ve liked a bit more cheese. Still, definitely worth a stop

Well the is the local favorite. That what the table sign read. Blueberry bread pudding warm. Topped with whipped cream. I also wanted a scoop of vanilla ice cream with it.
For jokes and game. Can you find the ice cream in this photo? I hope there food is better then their dessert.

What a diamond in the rough. Didn’t look open as it was so dark. Couldn’t see interior lights or an open sign. Don’t be fooled. The food was delicious. Best breakfast gravy we’ve had in some time. Joe was amazing. He didn’t stop the entire time we were there. Not just servicing tables but cleaning and organizing the restaurant. Impressive work ethic. Only 4 stars on atmosphere as it felt like a freezer inside. Was super cold.

We used to stop at renegade when we were driving semi. It had the best beef and noodle soup. I wish I had the recipe so I could make it at home since we live in Kansas. We stopped every time we went thru there. Great prices and service. Wish we could get there again but retired from trucking. Maybe they could send us some. They had truck parking.

Stopped here on the way to Teton since the KFC was out of the way. I’m usually suspicious of places that offer more than one cuisine because they tend to disappoint. Unfortunately, this was no exception. We ordered two burger meals and a Kung Pao chicken. The fries were overcooked, the burgers had a faint taste of chlorine (maybe from the lettuce? The Chinese dish was a huge disappointment to my (Chinese) husband. It only had one vegetable (bell peppers) and they were undercooked, even for Chinese food standards. I ate my burger and what I could of the fries, since I was starving. My daughter left her burger intact. Super cold inside, and the booth seats were tattered. The service was OK and we tipped accordingly, but would not go back to this place.

Funky, fabulous, find!! Who would think to combine American food with Chinese, but it’s genius! Everyone leaves happy! Hubby and I had the combination fried rice, daughter had the chicken sandwich. Everything came out hot and fresh. Food was delicious and portions were huge! Don’t miss this hidden gem on your way through!

The soup is on the small side but im not mad at it. It was decent. I’m not going to lie the Chinese food wasn’t the best I’ve had. It’s not breaded like I’m used to so I guess that’s why I didn’t take to it. The sesame chicken was salty and wasn’t spicy at all. The sweet and sour didn’t taste like I’m used to. It was different. What was a winner for me was the noodle soup with pork . I’ll come back for that. Our waitress was sweet and polite. I gave it 4 starts because I liked the ambiance. It’s a small place and it had good county radio on. Update: I came back again and the noodle soup was amazing again. The dumplings were super delicious too. I bumped it to 5 starts. If you read my reviews do me a favor and please follow me on google thanks ✌ .

Service was excellent and super friendly! After traveling all day it was difficult for my family to decide between American or Chinese food so this was the perfect solution! They also had breakfast options in the evening if requested. Egg drop soup was delicious, as were the grilled cheese and Chinese dishes. A great stop away from the other chain restaurant options!
