I’m a New Yorker born and raised in the Bronx, and I’ve been in the food business since I was 14 years old. I don’t hand out praise casually. I’ve lived in this area for over 12 years and eat here at least twice a week, and in all that time I’ve never had a bad meal.
The pizza is consistently excellent. The slices are big, the crust is always right—proper structure, clean bite, no flop—and the balance of sauce and cheese is exactly what it should be. This is real New York–style pizza, not an imitation. It’s easily the closest thing in Connecticut to a Bronx pizzeria.
The rest of the menu holds its own just as well. The penne vodka is rich, well-executed, and deeply satisfying, and the eggplant rollatini is done the right way—flavorful, comforting, and clearly made with care. Portions are generous across the board, prices are fair, and everything comes out fresh.
What truly separates Re Napoli from the pack is consistency. Week after week, year after year, the quality never slips. That kind of reliability is rare in this business—and it’s why this place isn’t just good, it’s a staple.
I also love their tiramisu. The Italian Beef isn’t much like a real Chicago Italian Beef, but it hits the spot – especially if you’ve never had an authentic Chicago Italian Beef, like most East Coasters.
The parking is very annoying, but it’s expected for that small busy area. Their online service is quick, so I’m out of the area just a few minutes after arriving.
Now, they do not have air conditioning in this place and they have a 900 degree over in the corner. It’s basically the most uncomfortable you can be indoors on a hot summer day. Order takeout only.
Fantastic job on their food, ample parking and great service.
9:05pm and so we arrived at 9:05pm. When we arrived I asked for an order of wings (which typically takes up to 10 minutes to make- I know as I worked in a pizzeria before). As we waited for the wings, many people came, placed an order and got their orders. 20-25 minutes had passed and we finally went up to them and asked them about our order. Turns out, it was done but they never told us about it. We got the order and we went to the car, my girlfriend decided to check the bags to make sure everything was send correctly, and I’m glad she did because we were missing my sub. Once we arrived home the food was all cold and Unenjoyable. It honestly was an annoying experience and I just wouldn’t go back. Inside the foot has some messy. It’s really disgusting food. I never seen in my life.
