As you wait in a line that winds itself through the inside of the Coffee House and you finally make it to the official line with a divider you very much so get the vibe and understand why people come and why people work here. Just amazing. A counter with endless home made bread, pastries (including GF products – and they take that seriously), merchandise to buy and of course, their roasted coffee variations to buy. A very European feel, if I may say so. The order process is easy, options are plenty for sandwiches, soups, salads and your favorite coffee with (what appears) homemade flavors. Two people alone power the coffee bar and the kitchen is hidden away in the back making all food. A quick number assignment and you find your place to sit with your fresh made coffee and you wait for your food. We had a 15 min wait but saw other food coming out earlier – that was because of my choice to have a hot sandwich, a Reuben – which was to die for. My better half had a sausage, egg and cheese on one of their GF breads. Check out the thickness of that fluffy baked egg layer. Amazing! Last, the staff was amazing, a bunch of super happy people to work together – love that environment to witness. That means it’s clearly a great place to work. Finally, a note on the coffee – very good beans are being used for sure, my Latte (large) was huge and the taste was incredible. See you soon again Rembrandt’s coffee house.
Anyways. Skip the coffee unless it’s iced and pumped full of syrups and stick with the dessert. Or if you get a hot coffee balance it out by getting an eclair to dip in it.
This place is perfect for meetups and an ideal stop for tourists – high quality, stylish, and tasty. The little house-style architecture gives it a very European feel. Definitely a recommendation!
For food: He got the Rueben, in his words “it was a solid Rueben, but could’ve used more of everything.” He also said the bread had several hard parts that hurt while eating it. Overall, He rated it 7/10. We also shared their chef special soup with was a red pepper chicken? I honestly forget what they said it was, but it was pretty good! We dipped the chips from our meals in it and it was so tasty! We rated it a 7/10 as well. (Him 6, me 8) And lastly for food, I got the chicken Caesar wrap and it slayed. Solid 9/10. The only critique I have is I wish it also had some more sauce. If you are going here though. I would definitely get it!
For coffee: I got a White mocha with their Carmel sauce and it was pretty good. One of the better coffees I’ve had so far. I’d rate it about 7 out of 10. Definitely worth the drive for it though!
For atmosphere: I loved the inside, and the patio! It was very pretty and if I lived here I’d be reading here all the time. The only thing that sucked, was that there was an insane amount of flys outside while we were trying to eat. Genuinely every bite we were having to check for flys on the food. I’m sure if we didn’t have food it wouldn’t be nearly as bad, but the whole point is to be able to eat out there so it kinda killed the vibe.
