Let me start by saying – do not trust these low reviews. I am convinced they are reviewing low on purpose to gate keep this location bc if you know the area that should speak for it self.

NOW on to the food!! So I traveled all around America and been to Jamaica ok the food is LEGIT no games. I got the ginger pineapple drink, 2 beef patties and the jerk wing meal – mannnn all of it was banging I wanted to go back the next day – it was a little pricey but they are in a plaza and in 2026 everything is high so I’m sure they need to increase prices to keep up with rent. The woman that took our order had the most friendly face – she was quiet but kind what more could you ask for. Oh and I knew the reviews were a lie bc there was never less than 2-3 people in there coming and going and they seem like locals/regulars – I will be back!!!!

Me and my husband just finished our food (well I attempted to finish mine lol). Very good tasty!!! My husband is Jamaican and applauded the food and service! I’m happy he finally found a place near the house that he can have some comfort food from home. We had the jerk pork and curry goat AMAZING. The portion definitely fits the price, they didn’t skimp on ANYTHING! Restaurant has great decor, really island vibe!

Great Jamaican Spot – Flavorful, Friendly, and Worth the Stop!

My wife and I found Reggae’s Jamaican Grill while out shopping. We were originally craving Haitian food, but there weren’t any nearby, so we searched for a Jamaican spot and landed here—and I’m glad we did.

The restaurant has a clean, welcoming setup with a beautiful layout—honestly, if I ever opened a food place, this is exactly the vibe I’d want. There were customers inside, and the woman working the front was very kind, managing everything by herself. She took care of orders one at a time, and even though she was alone, she handled it gracefully.

We ordered jerk chicken with rice and peas, cabbage, and asked for oxtail sauce on the side. We took the food home to eat, and let me tell you—it was very good. The chicken was flavorful and had just the right amount of heat for me (I’m not a huge spice lover), while my wife—who enjoys spicy food—thought it was perfect. The cabbage was well-cooked and seasoned just right. The rice and peas were fine for me, but my wife thought they could’ve used a little more flavor. Still, paired with the oxtail sauce and chicken, everything came together nicely.

She also ordered fried dumplings. They were a bit firm—likely made earlier in the day—but the cook was thoughtful enough to offer her an extra one for free. That kind of service goes a long way.

The total came to around $33 for two full plates, which is very reasonable for the area and the portion sizes. We were happy, full, and satisfied when we finished eating.

Would definitely recommend Reggae’s Jamaican Grill if you’re in the area and want something flavorful, authentic, and reasonably priced. I’m American, my wife is Haitian, and we both truly enjoyed it.

This restaurant is the spot for true authentic Jamaican food in Spring Hill, and the surrounding Hernando County. The food is always delicious! There is always a selection that are all family favorites. The staff are friendly and very helpful and you can tell they love what they do. Prices are always fair and the portion sizes are abundant. This is the only place I will order from.

I ordered the brown stew chicken the chicken itself was really good and seasoned. The cabbage wasn’t seasoned and it wasn’t good at all. All the other Jamaican restaurants I’ve been to have NEVER given dry rice this one do not put any gravy on it and it tastes like instant rice… On a scale of 1to10 I’ll give it a 6.5 that’s only because the chicken was seasoned and the service was good.

As a Jamaican, I approve. My family tried the jerk chicken, jerk pork, curried chicken and brown stew chicken. I also had patty with coco bread and will definitely return.

I was in the area today due to storm decided to stop in and check out menu . They had some good options wanted the jerk shrimp but would’ve took 20 minutes . I was pressed for time so I decide to get oxtails since they were already cooked . I have to say the best Jamaican food I’ve had since moving to Florida from NY.
Good price and generous portion . Too bad I live an hour from here , but whenever I’m in the area I’ll always stop
