Had higher hopes for this nice resort on Storm Lake, Iowa. Service was extremely speedy, and not in a good way. Our entrees were delivered before we were halfway through our apps, and the server asked if we were interested in dessert while we literally had food in our mouths and half of our steaks still on the plates. The food was pretty good, if not a little salty. The prices were reasonable. Only gave 3 stars for atmosphere because even though the place is comfortable and has great views, there were a ton of kids. I know it’s a kid-centric resort, however, how about seating grownups with no kids in a different area?

We ate there both nights and on the Friday night that we ate there only two people like their food. The salmon was severely overcooked and the crabcakes were extremely mushy weight. Staff really needs some training. On Saturday night when we ate there, the food was much better, but again the waiter not so much. We literally got our salads and our food at the exact same time so it makes it very difficult to enjoy your salad. He came back one time to see how things were and that was at the end of our meal. When we were there last year, the food was fantastic and the service was awesome but this year certainly could’ve used some improvement.

Food was great! We had the prime rib & the surf & turf! My husband thought it was the best prime rib he’s had in a long time. My steak & shrimp were cooked perfectly. The only thing we didn’t really like was that the atmosphere was a bit noisy, but they were very busy.

We recently stayed at King’s Pointe and visited the restaurant twice during our stay, as well as ordered takeout once. Both dine-in experiences were very disappointing.
The staff was consistently rude and unwelcoming, and the lack of basic customer service was honestly baffling. We felt like an inconvenience rather than paying guests. The food itself was mediocre at best and overpriced for the quality. Especially when asking questions about the menu and the staff states it’s frozen and cannot be altered.
What was most surprising is that the restaurant is attached to a family-friendly resort, yet it did not feel kid-friendly at all. The atmosphere and service did not match what you would expect at a resort catering to families. Very disappointing.

This place is amazing. The lake was beautiful, even during winter. Soft, white snow dancing across the wide open area of solid blue ice. Nice to watch as we were eating in the toasty warm restaurant. Food was amazing.

Second best place to get hospital food with the actual hospital being the first. Bunch of highschoolers waiting the tables and they couldnt tell you anything about any dish. Theyre just there to take your order and put it in. Idk about most adults but i personally dont like it when my waiters first language is not english WHILE im dining at an “American eatery”

We were a party of 6 and dined in. We didn’t have to wait to be seated. I love the view of the water. The restaurant was clean and had a relaxed feel. The staff was nice, but our waitress had to be told multiple times that she forgot something we ordered… I actually never got the one thing I reminded her 3 times about. It wasn’t busy, so it was a little frustrating, but the food was fresh and very good. The spinach artichoke was the best I’ve had in a long time! When I visit the area, I would eat there again.

Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful view of the lake. Food was delicious. The chicken piccata and asparagus were seasoned well. The sweet potato fries have a sweet cinnamon flavor. Hopefully you get America as your waitress because she’s the best!

Last night we sat at the bar and unwound after spending the day with family. My hubby has serious allergies. Lilly and Aaron were bartending and we asked them about the Walleye Bites which we were craving! They went and got the mgr, Wes, and he was awesome! He went back and checked and they were fine! Thanks to all 3 for the excellent service, conversation and Walleye Bites!!
