This was a fun place to have a drink and snack before seeing a show. They patio area was covered so it was comfortable even at 40 degrees. Their drinks were fun and tasted delicious. The old fashioned was a generous pour for the price. It also had a good view of the empire state building. We had the cheesecake and the tuna appetizer. Both very delicious. They had lots of other food that looked tasty as well. Overall, a cool place for drinks.

We loved Refinery! Went for Sunday brunch—great food and attentive service. It was my sister’s birthday and they surprised her with a postcard and birthday wishes, which was such a nice touch. Beautiful view of the Empire State Building and not overly touristy. One of the best rooftops in NYC!

Don’t waste your money paying to reserve a table for a “view” of the Empire State Building. We paid $20 for the corner booth and you had no actual view from your seat (picture attached from sitting in my seat). Other tables you don’t even pay for had better views. You can still go outside and take a picture with it in the background, but you can do that anywhere. The food and service was typical bar food. It’s a nice atmosphere and trendy bar to hang out in but that’s really all. Also, it didn’t seem to be a problem to have a child at 5pm, we had one and another table had one about 7-10yrs old.

The experience at Refinery Rooftop was okay overall. The food was good and met expectations, but the venue felt quite loud and very packed, which took away a bit from the enjoyment. That said, it’s still a solid option if you’re looking for a lively rooftop atmosphere in NYC.

Ian was absolutely amazing—truly top-tier customer service from start to finish. He checked in with us periodically, offered thoughtful recommendations, and was incredibly attentive throughout our entire experience.
We were celebrating our birthday, and he surprised us with a dessert, which was such a beautiful and kind gesture. It genuinely made the experience even more special and memorable. From the moment we sat down to the very end, the service was exquisite. I honestly don’t think we could have asked for a better waiter.

We originally looked at a list of things to do in NYC and noted this location. We actually just happened across it while walking the city and checked it out. We walked right in and sat at the bar. We ordered the double cheese burger, and old fashioned and a glass of wine. They were all great. Highly recommend a stop, even just for a coctail.

Delicious food with a perfect location. This rooftop view of the Empire State Building is fantastic. You can reserve specific tables for a nominal fee directly through the website so plan ahead for a direct view! Staff is super friendly. Drinks were perfect. We stayed at the hotel which is also great and went twice.
