Excellent labeling of vegetarian dishes, which can easi, easily, be made vegan or are already vegan. I had the Forager sandwich and it was perfectly toasted with crisp veggies and tasty avocado and hummus. Got a side of fried plantains too. Indoor and outdoor seating are great too.

Great place to stop on our way to Albuquerque from Santa Fe. We had the toquitos, mushroom melt sandwich, and a salad; all were very good. Lots of seating so despite it being super crowded, were able to find a table and service was prompt. Parking could be an issue.

The restaurant could use a little tlc. It’s a renovated building which is fine and that gives it it’s charm, but the booths were dirty and tables were sticky. They also kept a window open to the kitchen and it let in an inordinate amount of flies. If I were eating outside, I would expect that, but not when I’m eating inside. The menu selections were great though. My husband got the burrito bowl with grilled chicken and I got the enchilada stacker bowl with chicken. His tasted far better than mine, but both were good. We had to wait a long time for our ticket. Seating inside was empty and only two table outside were occupied. But I think there was only one server at the time so that can make things harder for them.

***Best place to eat and hang in Madrid.*** Owners that care about the community and their staff. While serving delicious food and setting a fantastic atmosphere to enjoy it in!
Giant outdoor seating area and small cozy indoor seating. Both great.
Monte Cristo is my usual pick. Daily specials are always delicious too.
Go here. It’s the right choice.

Good chicken wrap & sandwich! If I returned, I’d dine indoors. Great service.

I would drive from Albuquerque to Madrid just to sit out here and eat. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed. Live music, great, friendly service, in a cool mountain town are enough to lure me here.

We took a short drive south of Santa Fe to Madrid. The food at the Refinery 14 was amazing! Not pub food, but an actual chef inspired menu. Just an example of the eclectic art community there. Started as a mining community years ago, today Madrid has become an artist community with galleries lining the New Mexico State Road 14, part of the Turquoise Trail. Also known for the ending of the 2007 film “Wild Hogs”, set and filmed in the town. Dog friendly also!

Always great friendly service. Breakfast and coffee are really good with fair prices. We have only ever ate outside, but the inside is very nice. House made potato chips are ridiculously good. Clean bathrooms and good parking for the location. Perfect place to stop in for a drink and lunch.

You have to stop in and enjoy this amazing place – their brunch was beyond amazing. We got the biscuits and gravy + added 2 over easy eggs, as well as the loaded loxs. They had wonderful live music and a cute shaded patio! There was open seating / no wait on the weekend, food was out quick, and our server was super sweet to top it all off. Wish we lived closer so we could come back sooner!

We travel with our small dog, so took advantage of the outdoor dining. We enjoyed our lunch very much. The enchiladas are outstanding, the sandwiches are delicious and the corn dip WITH HOMEMADE CHIPS should not be missed. They even had a Pup menu which our dog thoroughly enjoyed! I’m sure we’ll be back!
