Reem’s California Mission is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re embraced by the warmth of Palestinian hospitality and the incredible aromas coming from the kitchen.

The food is outstanding – every dish is made with such care and authenticity. The mana’eesh is perfectly crispy and flavorful, the falafel is some of the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot!), and don’t even get me started on the za’atar bread.

Everything tastes fresh, homemade, and bursting with flavor.
But what really sets Reem’s apart is the heart behind it. You can feel the love and pride in every aspect – from the quality ingredients to the thoughtful service to the beautiful way they celebrate Palestinian culture and cuisine.

The staff is friendly and welcoming, always happy to explain dishes or make recommendations.

This place is doing something really special – serving incredible food while creating community and sharing an important piece of Palestinian heritage.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a meal, Reem’s delivers every single time. Absolutely can’t recommend it enough!

Order:

– Falafel Wrap: my go to
– The Pali Cali: delicious
– Cheese Man’oushe: ordered it with cheese and without, love both
– Chocolate Chip Halawa Cookie: to die for
– Cardamom Cold Brew Coffee: classic Arabic coffee with a new twist

Notes:

Whenever I feel nostalgic and miss Kuwait, I go to Reem’s mission. Great music and atmosphere.

I’ve dined in and ordered take out, always delivers.

Casual eatery with great food! We had the chicken flatbread and the muhammara – both were delicious. They had beer and wine also available. You pay for food at the counter and they come to your table with it when it’s ready.

Stylish, tasteful and relaxed sophistication. A very California take on Middle Eastern classics.

Falafel Salad is satisfyingly good, with enough of a savory crunch to satiate even the most avid of meat eaters.

Perfect for a friendly catch up or a first date with someone very health conscious.

Tucked in San Francisco’s Mission District, this cozy Mediterranean spot blends rustic charm with vibrant flavors. Guests enjoy mezze, wood-fired kebabs, and fresh seafood, paired with local wines and craft cocktails. Warm service and lively energy make it a favorite for both casual nights and celebrations.

I never write reviews, but this was the best Arab food I’ve outside of my grandmothers home. Everything was super authentic and so delicious! The music was fantastic, they have incredible drinks and souvenirs to purchase. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

So I was asked by a friend to try their Pali Cali. I didn’t even know what they look like but finally I gave it a shot today.

It was good. The spices were very interesting. Chicken well done. Bread was very authentic. It was a good experience. Though I know a Mediterranean place is good from their falafel. Next on my list.

Vibe: 5 stars – The Arabic music, fresh flowers, and a candle on the table ♥️

This was some of the saddest Arab food I have ever had. The babaganoush and hummus had zero flavor. Not traditional by any stretch of the imagination. Disappointing

Very good food served in a casual atmosphere. They close at 3pm so lunch is a perfect time to visit.
Arab street food but California style. BTW..they make their own Pita bread.
Beer & Wine served.

Came on their 2nd day, got a few items. It’s a little pricey considering everything feels very snacky. But that said everything was tasty and well seasoned. The laughing cow ka’ik was the best thing we tried, it honestly tastes like a bagel I’ve been searching for my whole life. All of the breads had great flavor on their own. I’d love to try it once the menu is more fleshed out. Currently they only serve lunch starting at 11am (otherwise it’s only coffee and a few baked goods), hopefully that will change once they add more hours.
