I just had to write a review for The Reel in Woodstock! This place is a MUST-TRY! The 3-course lunch menu is an absolute steal for $20! Manhattan clam chowder and it was to die for, and the seafood gumbo was a hit too! The salads are fresh and delicious!! I’ve tried the spinach arugula, Wedge, Greek and the Caesar, and I’m obsessed! But the real stars of the show are the entrees. The roasted cod with lemon caper sauce is perfection, and the salmon BLT is a game-changer. And don’t even get me started on the shrimp and grits… BEST. EVER. The service was top-notch too! The servers are friendly and attentive. We’re already planning our next visit! 5 stars isn’t enough – I’d give it 10 stars if I could!

This is hands down my favorite seafood restaurant…not just because the food is always fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully plated, but because the owner (Karen) makes the entire experience feel like home. Every visit feels personal. You can taste the love and passion behind every dish. From the service to the atmosphere, everything is consistently amazing. I can’t recommend this place enough!! it’s easily one of my top spots, and the owner is truly one of my favorite people ever.

Reel is the best restaurant in the area. We go there often. The chef is excellent. The food is fresh, cooked perfectly and presentation is beautiful. Food is consistently delicious. Service is always great. It’s a cute place on Main Street in downtown Woodstock. Go there.

Lunch at the Reel was excellent. Had the salmon BLT which was tasty, well seasoned and delicious, and the thin, crispy French fries were perfection. My husband had the lunch special with the NE clam chowder, Greek salad and Salmon BLT…soup was great, the Greek salad was probably one of the best ever…yes, I tried it! And his sandwich was like mine…simply wonderful and delicious. Our servers, there were two as one was shadowing were sweet, professional and attentive. Loved the 50% discount on bottled wine too!
The restaurant was clean, great music and I see many more visits here.
Keep doing what you do, as it is a notch above the rest. The food we had was fresh, cooked to perfection and plated nicely.

How has this fantastic seafood spot been open for like 10 years and I’m just now discovering it?!
If you like Manhattans, get the Reel Manhattan. They have drink specials on Sangria and beer so be on the lookout for that when you visit.
The calamari was perfectly crispy and had none of that extra fluff like peppers – it was pure calamari and the marinara was delightful too. Gumbo and the spinach and arugula salad with goat cheese was so fresh and crisp. A piece of salmon on top and it would have been a sensational light meal.
But we were there for the fresh catch(s)! The rare tuna and Red fish over crab risotto blew us away! We took our key lime tart and Heath bar cheesecake to go and couldn’t have been happier with those choices.
Plus, the attentive service was fantastic! Can’t wait to return and try more dishes!

Went at 5pm greeted by hostess but no one at the bar, I was in no hurry so I waited. Service was meh, 4 more patrons & then a couple & single so 8 of us put Christian in the weeds. Main dining room 2 or 3 tables.
Tempura lobster was good & long wait for risotto.
I paid online with inKind because bartender busy.
Left to walk around neighborhood and saw all the other venues packed because of the beautiful day.
On my way to the car the gentleman who sat next to me saw me & started yelling at me that I walked out on my tab and upset Christian.
I have receipts and won’t be back.
Hostess did wish me a good night.

The customer service was good however, there was a long blonde peice of hair in my sandwich (my hair is short, black and curly).
I found it interesting that the waiter said this has never happened since he’d been working there, yet as I was walking out, the manager was yelling at the staff “this is the second time this week we’ve had an incident”.
I feel repulsed at having someone else’s hair in my mouth. It was a disappointing experience.

I had the Papardelle Pasta that was Amazing. Tastes like New Orleans. The sauce was fantastic and the waitress brought 4 slices of garlic buttered fresh bread to dip into the sauce that was left over. Topped it off with Chocolate Lava Cake. Delicious!!!
Julie was the awesome server who was also the bartender as well and didn’t miss a beat. Thank you Julie for making my fist visit to Reel…Real!
