After our tour to Tangier Island, we looked for a nice place to finally have a beer (dry island). This place did not disappoint. We did not really eat here, but the crab dip was simply out of this world. I had never had pitta bread like these, fluffy, soft and crispy. The pink wine flight was good and the ambience out on the deck, super relaxing. Now, we arrived on a Saturday before 5 PM. The place was literally dead, but by the time we left, almost 6, it had started to get busy. There’s plenty of parking. The service was prompt and friendly. Loved it!

Appetizers were good. Service was slow but friendly. The entrees came out cold. A member of our table ordered a medium rare steak that came out well done. When he respectfully mentioned it, our waitress asked how we can make it right. He responded “however your management sees fit”. No one came to the table or tried to make it right… when he approached the manager, the manager said “I don’t know what the big deal is”.

This was our $51 1/2 inch thick slice of prime rib. Then they had the nerve to charge us a service fee for using a credit card. Who isn’t using a credit card at an steak and seafood restaurant whose entrees are in the $30-50 range per person? We dine out regularly at a variety of other small restaurants in the area and no other restaurants pass their bank fees on to our check. Disappointing. Won’t be back.

Quite a unique experience. Pretty views from the outside seating area. Waitress had no clue what kind of fish was used on several different entrees. The food was fresh and tasted amazing though.

A special thank you to Mike for getting us a table last Thursday when the restaurant was so busy. Then because Sydney was willing not only to keep up with the bar and all the high tops she took one more one which was us!

As residents of the Northern Neck, we had never tried Reedville Market Restaurant. For our anniversary dinner, we made the drive from Lottsburg. We were greeted with a family atmosphere and smiles all around. We found the entire restaurant fresh and clean. We were invited to have outside seating, but chose indoor seating with a view. The tables were nicely set with table clause and silverware. We were greeted right away with ice water and bread. Our waitress was generous with her time, and answered questions and explained the menu. She also offered suggestions which was helpful. My husband had a Delmonica steak with sides. I enjoyed the stuffed shrimp with delight. I should have gone for the smaller size as the portion was very generous. As we enjoyed our dinner and conversation, many people were being seated around us. Some sounded very familiar with the restaurant and staff. The bar area filled quickly. With TVs to watch and what appeared as many cocktail selections. We were checked on often. And finished plates were removed from the table. For our convenience a carafe of ice water was left at our table. We felt like the price compared to the food and service was very comparable. Even though it was our first visit there we were treated as a regular. It will certainly not be our last.

As per prior reviews, the service was really slow. We weren’t in too much of a hurry but a couple beside us waited 20 mins & was never acknowledged. They got up & left. The food was good (not exceptional) but overpriced I thought. Out waitress was overworked but did great with us. The view wasn’t anything to write home about. I probably wouldn’t go there again- even if we did live local.

Good restaurants are few and far between in the Northern Neck area. Reedville Market fits as one of the better ones. It has a nice nautical woodsy feel without being over the top. We went there for my birthday dinner and it was enjoyable. Minor complaints were that we really weren’t sure who our waitress (although both were very personable and efficient) was. Both were taking our orders and serving our food. The second was my market cut – read small – prime rib was not seasoned from the kitchen. I had to add some salt and pepper at table which is something rarely needed in what is a relatively high-end restaurant. I understand that people have dietary restrictions, but then they shouldn’t be ordering prime rib in the first place! It’s a once or twice a year special treat for me. It was flavorful after being seasoned and nice and tender and juicy. I like beef very rare, and this did have some pink, but I would call it much more medium than rare – but that’s in keeping with the regional tastes. The accompanying salad was nice and crisp, and my onion rings were also. If you’re in the area and want a better dining experience, the Reedville Market is worth a visit.

Don’t waste your time or money in this place. S l o w service, 45 minutes to order. Wrong drink came for my wife. Mistake was realized by server when she brought them and said she would be right back with correct one. 15 minutes later I went to front desk to ask if she had left sick since she disappeared. They came to table and said they would get right on it. Drink came with apology. Finally got to order. 2 hours in food came. It was mediocre at best. The we asked for check. It was about $105 and tried to use a $150 gift card purchased from them and given as a gift to us. They sent the busboy to deliver news that the card could not be accepted. I asked why he said it was bad. I went to counter again, and was told their system was down. He then took my credit card. My wife checked the card on line from lobby and it was good and showed a $150 balance. The manager at the front then belted out across the lobby rudely about me and what was he suppose to do , give me $100 cash? I’ll repeat, just the service and food was enough to not return. But the attitude from what appeared to be the manager, was unprofessional and totally uncalled for.

We had a party of six adults on a Saturday evening. Made a reservation and requested a table with a view of the water. Walked in and saw a table available where we requested. Maitre d would not let us sit there only saying they couldn’t guarantee that a request made would be honored. Although we understand there are other factors involved in seating people aside from an open table we did not appreciate that he was rude and uncooperative. So, the evening got off to a bad start especially when he sat 6 full grown adults at a table that should have only fit four and it was overlooking the parking lot.
