Good food and a fun atmosphere. Efficient service. The country boil was nice in that it was smaller than the normal boil. Perfect for a single serving. I would suggest that they make the sauce slices bigger. Shrimp was good. Corn was over cooked. Fried shrimp was good but the French fries were tough. Overall I’d recommend it if you’re looking for more affordable dining.

I hear this restaurant advertised frequently on the radio, so I went in expecting a great experience. Between the hype and the location, my expectations were genuinely high. And to be fair, the setting is stunning. Sitting on Shem Creek, the views are absolutely beautiful and full of potential.
Unfortunately, everything beyond the scenery fell short.
We arrived at 4:00 p.m. on a Friday, hoping for a relaxed early dinner atmosphere. Instead, it already felt like a full-on bar scene. The overall vibe leaned heavily toward drinking rather than dining, which was disappointing given the waterfront setting. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to enjoy conversation and a meal, this probably isn’t it.
Our waitress seemed visibly annoyed when we didn’t order alcohol. After that, service quickly declined. It took an unusually long time just for her to return and take our food order, and once it was placed, we barely saw her again. When the food finally arrived, not all of our items were delivered. We were nearly finished eating before she checked back in, at which point we had to tell her we never received part of our order.
The food itself was lackluster. I ordered snow crab legs, and honestly, it’s hard to understand how that dish could be done so poorly. Flavor, execution, presentation—all fell flat. Nothing felt memorable or worth the price.
Overall, the experience was a fiasco from start to finish. I truly wanted this place to be better because the view is amazing and the location alone should make it a standout. If you’re primarily looking to drink, this may be your kind of spot. But if you’re hoping for attentive service and a solid waterfront meal, I’d recommend finding another place on the water.

We had a really nice lunch here today. There was a little bit of a wait since they were very busy, but it was less than 15 mins. Once we were seated, our waitress was very attentive and our food came out quickly. I had the grouper sandwich and it was delicious. My fiance had their crab cake platter and enjoyed it. We’d definitely come back if/when we’re in the area. It is a little expensive, but it’s quality seafood too.

We stumbled on this place when we were visiting Shem Boardwalk… Loved the food… Had the grouper sandwich. Grilled shrimp. French fries were delicious. The pineapple jalapeño coleslaw was great. The atmosphere was fabulous busy and the service was magnificent.

Nice outdoor bar. Highly recommend the BBQ bacon wrapped scallops and the Buffalo shrimp po boy. Both fresh and delicious!

Pros and cons for this restaurant. I am solo with a pet. I got there 10 minutes before they opened and let them know I was there. I then waited almost 20 minutes with no acknowledgement and eventually went to the bar asking to be seated. Once I was seated, the waitress was kind and attentive. She brought my pet a cup of ice cold water, but the water bowl outside where we waited was very dirty. The food was very good. My burger was a little pink and I realized I was never asked how I wanted it cooked. When the bill came for 2 daiquiris, a burger, fries and cucumber salad, it was $50!!!! I had seen the menu online where a daiquiri was $8 and is now apparently $13. The burger went up only a couple of dollars. The waitress stated that was an old menu but big increase either way. I didn’t argue, I paid and tipped well because it’s not the waitress’ fault. The patio is covered with fans which is great for a pet because most outdoor seating is not covered and can get very hot. So…pros and cons but not sure I’ll return.

Waterfront dining, excellent service and great food! Reds is a true vacation feel! The house margarita was excellent and the crab cakes were wonderful! The low country boil could have used some seasoning but the portion sizes was perfect! Our server was friendly and energetic and prices were very reasonable too! The parking lot (paid) can get full due to the variety of restaurants around, however, we did a few circles and found a spot within a few minutes. Waterfront seating is first come first serve but the views were beautiful, especially during sunset. We loved Reds!

We come to Reds all the time. Tonight we came and I ordered the grouper sandwich and my wife ordered the shrimp po boy. My first instinct was to send the food back but I was hungry and the actual fish filet looked good. What was wrong was the bun. It was on a hamburger bun that was either very very stale or it was over toasted because it was hard enough to break a window. I ate the filet. I tried to smash the bun but it just broke. It’s too bad cause usually the grouper is really good. So my only advice is if the bun comes out hard don’t do what I did. Send it back. I wish I would have. I just worry that the cook will get pissed and do something bad to my food.

Overall decent experience, but there was a lot they could improve on. The entrees were great, and the price was ok for what we got. There was good variety in the menu options, as well as kind but relatively delayed service. The problem lies mostly in the sides which was corn and potatoes, where the corn was overcooked and under-seasoned, and the potatoes were undercooked and bland. Once they improve those sides, Red’s will be a great spot.

Our server was great, she was nice and friendly.
Food was delicious, we ordered Hot Buffalo Chicken Dip, Seafood Queso, Cool Cucumber Salad, Crab Cakes, Fish and Chips, Shrimp and chips, and Smoked BBQ Pork Nachos and some burgers. For the dips, we got more nachos compared to the dip but it was still delicious. Fish was lovely, and the seafood boil was nice too (could have more flavor but it was still delicious). The only problem was that it took a very long time for the appetizers and entrees to come out.
The atmosphere is nice and it’s more of a bar like feel next to the water, but it was cold and there weren’t enough heaters so we were very cold while we waited for our food.
Overall, I like this place and do recommend it but the food might take a long time till it comes out to your table so make sure you grab a drink to sip on while you wait.
