At first I was a little annoyed…no phone number! No calling ahead so that I didn’t have to wait in line. But then I went anyway! This place reminds me of a bygone in Homer, the OG Boatyard! This greasy spoon, or should I say greasy bus is legit. Great food, great owners, worth a stop or two while you’re in Seward! They even have card games and kids books to enjoy while you wait.
The bacon burger had a layer of bacon not just two puny strips like some other joints. Just like photos of Alaska, they don’t do it justice! You gotta try it. Been in business since the 80s, so you know they’re doing something right!

Great burgers and fries place and I’m a burger snob. If you want a good burger in Seward this is your place. Very nice folks to boot. Seating is a bit odd albeit comfortable in an old school bus. To feed a family of five, it was $79.00… Everything in Alaska is expensive so it’s average prices. Wife and daughter for fish (cod) and chips. They really liked theirs too. Highly recommend this place if your in the Burger of fish and chips mood.

We ordered Red’s #1 burger with Maple Bacon and an Elk Cheese Burger for to-go. The burgers were delicious, fries tasted great, with generous serving size and fresh ingredients. The prices were decent for the huge portion we got. They can get pretty busy during dinner so there’s a bit of a wait but it was worth it!

I had a simple cheeseburger and fries and it was delicious. We were down in Seward Alaska so we thought we would give them a try. We came at the right time because their wait times were up to 45 minutes but we only waited for 20 minutes. Everything is made to order and it shows in the taste of the food. They have a notification system so you know when your food is ready. The food was served to us as soon as we got to the window so our food was hot. We will definitely go there again.

Strolling through Seward one day in the middle of June 2022, and while doing so, I came across Red’s Burgers. Upon looking them up online, they definitely looked right up my alley so I decided to make a visit.
The menu is impressive, lots of stuff to choose from. The employees were also super friendly! The food took a decent amount of time to come out but that was fine.
We grabbed a seat in the defunct vintage school bus they have next door for seating and that was quite the unique experience!
The food was phenomenal too! I just had a burger and fries and a shake but everything was delish! The shake however was probably my favorite part about the whole meal. Super thick, rich, and creamy. Just fantastic overall!
Overall, if you make it out to Seward in the summer, come hit up Red’s! Definitely my favorite restaurant I went to during my time in Seward a few months ago.

Food was amazing. Crispy fluffy fries. Perfect breading to onion ratio for the onion rings. Burgers were extremely flavorful. Garlic burger is hands down my new favorite burger ever. Bacon on the bacon cheeseburger is the best I’ve ever had. Service was impeccable.

This is a super neat little place. It’s in a bus with a building built against the side where you order with another bus behind for seating. This place has great potential! However, I give it such a poor review because the food was less than impressive. We got two cheeseburgers, one jalapeno burger, onion rings and chicken strips. The burgers taste like frozen patties with not much flavor, the jalapeno burger had very few jalapenos on it, the onion rings were very soggy and the chicken strips were way over done. The fries were on point and the middle of the chicken (the fat part) was juicy. For the price ($80) I expected it to be better and with the amazing vibe I wanted it to be great.
