Ancient Gremlin
We happened to stop by on a night when there was a film event going on, so our party of two was put on a waitlist behind fifteen (15!) parties. Not to worry, though, our host assured us it would go quickly. And it did!
The bar organization was impressive, the drinks were heavenly, the staff was kind, and the food was good.
Great service from the host with great tattoos and the bartender with cool snake(?) spine earrings (:
Additionally, they asked about allergies at the top, and made sure to note them on our ticket so no cross-contamination could occur. They had vegetarian and vegan options, and all the food was DELICIOUS. The pork and scallion wantons were total show-stoppers. The fried tofu was prepared perfectly. The crab fried rice could’ve used a bit more crunch, but the flavor was lovely.
Couldn’t have asked for anything more on a spontaneous date night out!

Food was absolutely delicious and the amount of craft cocktails they have on their menu is amazing. So many options and all of them sound good. Plates are great for sharing and enjoying a nice night out with your partner and friends. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants good asian fusion food and a yummy drink. (The ginger scallion prawns are to die for!)

Everything was fantastic and Hannah was a gem! Now I know why this place is a favorite for my son & his gf. With cocktails, a few apps and 3 entrees, came to $125 before tip.

Redlight is now our favorite location for eating a super-delicious, creative vegetarian meal. So many veg choices! We’ve had the sichuan cucumbers, crispy tofu, grilled gailan, chilled noodle, hot noodle, vegan wontons, vegan dumplings, eggplant (amazing!), and eggplant bao, and more! We’re really there for the food but we also enjoy the cocktails – again we’ve tried several and the only ones I don’t like are the ones heavy in bourbon/whiskey (but our sons enjoy those). Some favorites are the Postal Service, Le Butcherette, Ginger Mule, Weedeater, and the Basil Gimlet. I can’t praise this place enough. Staff are super friendly, helpful, and patient. Even the server we had most recently who was working her first day was excellent – kudos to whoever hired her. 🙂 My only problem is the extreme noise once the place is 2/3 full or more, but now that we’ve internalized the opening time of 4pm we will just eat dinner earlier.

Artfully crafted cocktails with a unique menu of tasty small plate items. I especially loved the Spicy Pork Dumplings. Redlight has been on my list for a long time but usually has a long wait. This time we got right in and I’m so glad we finally did. Looking forward to my next visit.

I’ve now been to this place twice and plan on going back again. When my S.O. and I find ourselves in Bellingham, Redlight is always at the top of our list of places now when we discuss somewhere to grab a bite to eat. It is an excellent spot to order many dishes for you and a date to share food with each other. The vibe is definitely a good mixture of a bar feel and a restaurant feel. So if you’re looking for one or the other you’ll find it here. Whether you’re bar hopping, grabbing small plate orders with a drink, or looking for a proper meal this place offers you a great experience. Most of the food has been great with great presentation . One dish, pic included, not so much. Service was as expected. Wait times the two times I have been to the restaurant ranged from immediate sitting to 45min wait time.

Awesome vibes, awesome drinks, awesome food. I’d especially recommend the fried chicken and the pork belly bao.

I really liked the cocktails but wasn’t a huge fan of the food just due to personal preference (not saying it sucked). The gyzosas described a “mouth numbing” flavor on the menu and I found that intriguing but it was actually just sort of weird and made it hard to enjoy the rest of the meal. The chicken baos were decent I just felt that I’ve had better for cheaper. The cocktails though were really good with lots of varieties, service was good even during a rush, and nice atmosphere. Its popular so I think my opinion on the food isn’t the normal and maybe id give it another go but it is expensive so id hate for another meal I wasn’t sold on.

My partner Amber and I visited Redlight, and we really loved our experience. We soaked in the vibrant atmosphere with happy patrons and locals alike. We really appreciated the exceptional service from our server Mercy. The food was really tasty. We had shrimp and pork wantons, hot noodles, chicken pot stickers, and the fried chicken bau was really good as well.
The drinks were very well prepared by a bar staff that obviously knew what they were doing. We loved the recommendations by our server and we will definitely be visiting again when we return to the area.

Had some great appetizers, cocktails, and conversation with the bartenders. Will be back if the universe allows it. The decor is perfect.
