My only negative, is even for all the quality, the price is a bit high, compared to other like restaurants in Tacoma and Seattle. Maybe this was due to the event, but that’s why I’ve given 4 stars instead of 5.
We would go back for a standard dining experience and see how it compares. But if you plan to go for an event night, plan to spend quite a bit.
From the moment the plates hit the table, it’s clear this place takes food seriously. The presentation alone tells you you’re in for something special—but the flavors are what seal the deal.
The Savoy Cabbage dish was pure perfection: deeply caramelized, beautifully seasoned, and finished with fresh herbs and a rich, savory depth that made every bite addictive. Nothing soggy, nothing overdone—just intentional, bold cooking.
The steak and frites deserves its own applause. The steak was cooked exactly right—tender, juicy, and full of flavor—topped with a vibrant sauce that complemented rather than overpowered it. The fries were golden, crisp, and seasoned flawlessly, soaking up the savory jus and mushrooms underneath like they were meant to be there all along.
You can tell this kitchen cares about technique, balance, and quality ingredients. Add in a warm, inviting atmosphere and attentive service, and you’ve got a restaurant that punches well above its weight.
Rediviva isn’t just “good for Aberdeen”—it’s genuinely excellent. A must-visit, whether you’re local or just passing through.
theme… finished live wood tables, simple but nice finishes. It felt very warm and cozy. We got 1/3 dozen oysters on a half shell with hot sauce, sides, seaweed and topping vinaigrette. They were delicious, not briny and smooth. The home made hot sauce/sriracha was so good, not super hot, but not mild either with great flavor. We got the uni tajarin pasta (Ramen with white sauce and uni on top). This was our favorite dish, cream was smooth, not too salt or overly creamy, great flavor. Three menu mentioned that this was a small dish, but it was a normal portion, descent amount. The next dish was the grilled rockfish over a bed of lettuce, quinoa and seafood soup (green mussels and squid). The soup was similar to Mexican campenchana. The grilled fish was done perfectly, not overcooked worth great flavor. The quinoa was tasty, fresh lettuce. The soup was yummy, but a bit on the salty side, esp if eaten by itself like a soup. The mussels were cooked well, not overcooked. For drinks we got the smoky old fashioned and huckleberry soda, both very tasty and resumed recommended. The old fashioned was fairly smooth, good but not the best I’ve had. The soda was yummy, not too sweet too. Overall great dinner, only complaint was the soup a bit salty. Really good if we had a piece of garlic bread, hehe. Like the saying, you get what you pay for… this place isn’t cheap. We paid well over $100. So, if you’re looking for cheap eats, this isn’t the place, but if you don’t mind spending some $$$$, but want really good food and great atmosphere, come here…. staff was really friendly as well.
Our group of six visited Rediviva Restaurant on a Saturday evening while spending the weekend in Ocean Shores. We were looking for a place with more than just fast food—somewhere that could truly surprise and delight us with its cuisine. After extensive research, we booked a table in advance since they offer seating for larger groups, and we’re so glad we did!
The atmosphere was wonderful, and we had a fantastic table by the window. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. It seems their menu changes frequently, so there’s no point in checking online beforehand—you just have to trust the experience and go with the flow!
Most of the women in our group love seafood, but unfortunately, they only had enough scallops left for one dish. So, I went with the steak instead, and I wasn’t disappointed at all. One of my friends ordered pasta, and she loved it too. The portions were generous, the food was flavorful, and the service was great.
One thing to note: for groups of six, a service charge is automatically added to the bill. But we didn’t mind at all—it was a great evening, and the overall experience was totally worth it. Would definitely recommend!
The spruce tip sour was earthy, woodsy and very drinkable. I had the hangar steak with frittes. The fries were crisp, the thinnest I’ve ever seen and the steak was cooked to perfection. My dining partner had the pasta with a wild boar bacon and an earthy, umami slightly creamy sauce. It was unlike anything we’ve ever had and we finished the plate. Unfortunately they had no desserts that particular day so I settled for a banana man cocktail. It wasn’t overly sweet and had a robust banana flavor.
I definitely recommend coming here for an elevated night out, to impress the your familiy epicurean or epicurious, or for a date or girls night.
Reservations are recommended. The chef prepares the food carefully and with great pride. This is not just another restaurant; it’s a gem in a sea of rhinestones. Support local before everything turns into a darden owned fake food catastrophe.
Will definitely be returning for some of their elevated appetizers in the near future and hopefully a decadent dessert.
Unfortunately, our entrees had some issues.
My burger was honestly pretty terrible all around. I ordered medium rare, but it was brought medium well to well done. Zero pink and the outside was noticeably black from char. The burger must have been sitting on the plate too long because the entire thing was room temperature and the bottom bun was soggy. But the worst of it was the seasoning. I like my food very salty, but it was so salty I couldn’t finish it. And the black pepper was so strong it was off putting. I’m sorry to say this was one of the worst burgers I’ve ever had.
The scallops as a whole seemed like they would be really good if they had been cooked better. The inside was great, the other ingredients were great, but the outside was seared so hard and dark that it was bitter and acrid and hard to eat.
Now for the positive: Everything else was wonderful. We had 2 appetizers and a dessert and all 3 are ranked at the top of our list for food in the area. During the appetizer course, we were talking about how excited we were to come back and try their other dishes and to see their rotating menu. I had a cocktail that was fantastic and she had a cider that we both enjoyed.
The food we liked was so good that we are going to be back to give them another chance. Hopefully it was just a bad night for them.
One other issue I did take with the restaurant was the semi-hidden service charge. They try to sneak a service charge into the total which is not cool in my book. If you want to have higher prices, that’s fine. And frankly their prices seemed pretty fair to me for the food being served. But don’t sell me an item for a certain price and then after I’ve eaten it tell me that it actually cost more then you told me.
