simply incredible. I’ve been here twice in 10 days because it was so delicious and great prices. it is cash only but they make it such that you pay even amounts after sales tax which is much appreciated. The hot dogs and burgers are both delicious, but the real stars are the french fries! simply the best french fries I’ve ever had in my life, so please come here just for these!

Oh where do I even start on this place? Firstly, the food. The burgers are crafted to perfection, which each bite being the perfect mix of juicy, fresh, and cheesy-goodness. The lightly smashed patty homogenizes with the Melty-ooey-gooey cheese so perfectly to create that perfect bite! And the veggies on top add that freshness to complement and contrast the burger all at once. And don’t forget the burger sauce either! It’s a sweet and slightly tangy sauce that just brings everything together. And the fries are nothing to sleep on either! Some of my favorite in Chicago! Fried and salted to perfection, the perfect compliment to their already perfect burger. This is my favorite place to eat in Chicago and I eat here once or twice a week! And the prices? Cheaper than any fast food place around.Secondly, the atmosphere. Whether it be early in the morning or late at night red hot ranch has you covered when you’re having those greasy burger cravings. The building gives off diner vibes and the atmosphere is very inviting! And last but not least, the staff and service. The staff is very kind and welcoming, and they always make sure to get your order right. You can ask for any customization and they will see to it that it is upheld! Even extra toppings in the side is free! Your food always comes fresh and fast as well. I couldn’t recommend this place any more. Seriously!

Nice to have a casual late-night fast food spot (open until midnight) on Dempster near the Yellow Line station. Burger, dog, and fries were all great, and wait time wasn’t too bad. At least for now, it’s cash only. Prices were pretty reasonable though.

New location in the Chicago ‘burbs! The hot dog snap is real and delicious. The cheeseburger is also good but can do without their special sauce – maybe will ask for it on the side. Both hot dog and burger comes with tasty and not overly salted fries. Will be back for sure.

What a value for the price. Red Hot Ranch really delivers when it comes to portion size and cost. These days it feels like grabbing a quick bite can cost more than it’s worth, so finding a spot like this is a win. The food here is good, but to be fair, I still think Poochie’s has better flavor overall. That said, for what you pay at Red Hot Ranch, the value is hard to beat.
On my visit, I ordered the fried shrimp with hot sauce. The shrimp were perfectly fried—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of flavor. The hot sauce wasn’t actually spicy, which was a little surprising, but it still added a nice tang that worked well with the shrimp. It’s the kind of meal that leaves you full and satisfied without feeling like you overpaid.
One thing to keep in mind is that it’s cash only. It’s not a big deal if you know before you go, but it’s worth mentioning so you’re not caught off guard.
If you’re looking for a filling, affordable meal and don’t mind bringing cash, Red Hot Ranch is absolutely worth checking out.

Visited on 11/23 to place a to-go order. I purchased three double cheeseburgers and one single, all with fries. The burgers were delicious with the perfect amount of sauce and toppings. The fries were seasoned just right and tasted great as well. Prices were very reasonable, and the guys working behind the counter were friendly and efficient. And yes, it’s 2025 and thank God some places still prefer cash!

If you’re into gourmet burgers with thick buns and lots of topping options and overpriced items, this is NOT the place for you. If you enjoy awesome real juicy meat patties, thin buns, basic toppings and decent prices, then RUN to this place..you will LOVE it! And they have a fish sandwich too! Yes, it’s cash only, but that’s how they’re able to keep their prices lower than those ridiculous burger places. Fries are real [without chemicals pumped into them] and you can see and taste the difference! Guys that run this place are super friendly and are really down to earth! Simply phenomenal!

You guys do have a really good dog, potentially. I don’t understand how a place that has hand cut fries could never be consistent with the delivery. Sometimes they’re spot on, sometimes they’re not. Sometimes you even get perfectly done ones mixed in with others that aren’t done enough. Yesterday cold and underdone !!! Not crunch in the bunch. There is no reason for that especially when you guys were slow and it still took 5 min to get my dog. I don’t mind the short wait. For what it’s worth your employees could be a little more personable as well. When you’re retraining them on how to do your hand cut french fries, you may also want to teach them how to smile.

Cash Only Scam, they put the Cash only sign up knowing most people carry plastic and then theres the conviently place ATM where they take $3-5 for a convenience fee. Which goes to the owner of the business. Ppl with bad business practices should be getting business.

Great burgers. Delicious fish sandwich. Not a fan of their sauce. But everything tasted fresh and yummy. Fries are well cooked. Plus u get to have deserts from its attached oberweis.
