WOW!!!
We actually put off checking out Redds for a good bit because it was so busy after opening, and most places take a bit to iron out the hiccups.
Happened upon it today (Saturday just before noon) when the lot wasn’t full for a change and it quickly got busy for a short bit after our arrival.
We now know the hype is worth it.
DELICIOUS breaded chicken, delicious sauces, banging hand cut fries too!
The atmosphere is a cool retro vibe. Like, we’ve been a lot of places that do that sort of thing, but the theme here is pretty cohesive and not so full randomness plastered all over the walls (maybe the disco ball was random, but still fit the color theme and went with the juke boxes).
The outside space has a bar area and things like putt put and cornhole
It’s a covered space and they have live music at times which apparently gets them a lot busier as they had 200 some people recently for a band out of Virginia Beach
The staff is also VERY attentive and friendly, checking in on you and taking away stuff for you if they’re not busy.
Order process: order at the counter or via the table sticker QR code. They bring the food out to your table when it’s ready. You get your own drinks at the stand by the order counter.
If you’re even just passing through Windsor, this is a MUST stop for chicken and/or hot dogs and a good drink!

Matt the bartender is spot on!!! He makes the mixed drinks perfect and is very attentive so you don’t wait long to get refills.
The environment is awesome and on Friday nights they have a DJ Shane Dollar is the awesome. What a great time to be had and before 0900 it’s a family friendly environment. Jake the owner has a gem here in Windsor so if you come out you will have a great time and enjoy good food.

Literally my favorite spot for wings. Absolutely love the dollar wing’s Wednesday. The fries are amazing and the wings??? Don’t get me started on them. Literally huge wings, saucy, hot, etc it’s amazing (I got the garlic parmesan and korean bbq.) I always sit outside at the bar, the bartender is very kind, and quick with the service love sitting out there and enjoying the atmosphere. The cook himself came out and checked if everything was good. You can tell he enjoys everything he does here and it’s really nice to see. Obviously the games outside are also quite nice. Making this review while i’m still sitting here. Love this place!!! 20/10 idc nothing can top this place.

Stop by Redd’s Filling Station in Windsor if you’re on Route 460! While the sandwich I had was good, the milkshake and ice cream were very, very good. They have a great selection of flavors to choose from. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, and the whole place has a very cozy vibe. I really enjoyed the outdoor bar area and the little activities they have outside. It’s a perfect spot to hang out when the weather is lovely!

My wife and I are very grateful to the reviewer for taking the time to identify this restaurant as using old creosote-treated railroad ties in its landscaping and play areas. We’re honestly angry that we allowed our grandchildren to play and sit on this creosote-soaked old lumber without realizing what it was. The presence of creosote in the play areas, where children are likely to come into contact with the wood, is troubling and difficult to ignore. Creosote is not some obscure or debatable issue; it’s a chemical that has been flagged for its toxicity and potential health risks. Widely identified as harmful, especially to children who are more likely to touch, sit on, or play around these materials and then put their hands in their mouths. What makes this unacceptable is that these railroad ties have already been identified as containing creosote, yet the owner has chosen to ignore or dismiss the risk entirely. Any business that invites families and children onto its property has a basic duty to ensure the environment is safe. Claiming ignorance or downplaying the danger isn’t an excuse when the information is well-documented and readily available. This isn’t about aesthetics or saving costs; it’s about exposing kids to hazardous materials.
The food was decent, and the service was friendly, but the menu offers a very limited selection. Until the restaurant removes or replaces the contaminated landscaping materials, it’s difficult to recommend this establishment as a safe place for families, especially those with young children. I encourage potential customers to review the pictures posted online. Creosote-treated railroad ties and partial utility posts are everywhere, from fencing to the bases of table tops.

Made a stop here for lunch with the girls and we were blown away by the kindness and hospitality of the employees. The hostess was the sweetest lady ever and once we finished our meals the chef came out to check on us too. This place is the epitome of southern hospitality. The restaurant is so adorable and their outdoor area is phenomenal. It is very obvious that this restaurant is a community hub and the employees take pride in their work.

Mom and I decided to check this place out. The workers were very friendly and helpful with ordering our food. I ordered the Korean BBQ chicken sandwich combo with mac and cheese. My mom had the hot honey chicken sandwich combo with mac and cheese. My sandwich was very flavorful, thanks to the Korean BBQ sauce and the coleslaw. The mac and cheese was tasty, especially with those good brown bits that form when you bake mac and cheese.
I’ll definitely come back soon.

Went there for lunch today and it was amazing! The inside was very charming, clean and felt very inviting. The service was friendly and the food came super quick. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredible. The roll even had some honey or some glaze on top of it that really added a nice layer to the flavor! Outside they even had some games available like corn hole, mini golf, and table tennis! If you ever have a craving for some chicken or a milkshake Redd’s is definitely the place to go!
